The shop is a feature of Pikmin Bloom where in-game items can be bought for coins or real-world money. Various types of items are available, organized into different sections. The contents of the shop have changed frequently over the game's lifespan. The shop is accessed from a button on the main menu.

List of items

Items of the Month

The Items of the Month section of the shop contains banners for items that are used during the current month's events, such as Special Mission Tickets or Mii costumes. Items that appear here can be bought from this section of the shop, but all items also appear in the limited time offers or Mii costumes sections of the shop, and can be purchased from either place. The game will scroll through all of the banners for the items that are currently available, and clicking on the banner opens up a menu with more details about what was clicked on. Clicking on a Mii costumes banner scrolls down to the Mii costumes section of the shop.

The Special Offer section was added on May 22^nd, 2023. It contains special items that can either only be purchased once, or change contents and/or price each day.

Upgrades

Upgrades increase the maximum amount of a particular type of item that can be stored. They can either be bought with coins or real-world money, but after a certain point for some upgrades, only real-world money can be used, and the price goes up. This price increase can be circumvented by purchasing storage upgrade bundles from the Pikmin Bloom Web Store, which do not increase in price at any point.

The postcard storage upgrade was added to this section on June 23^rd, 2022.

Initial flower petal storage capacity increased from 200 to 300 on July 11^th, 2022, and maximum flower petal storage capacity increased from 1,000 to 1,200 on July 19^th, 2022.

On September 14^th, 2022, the 5 upgrades costing real-world money were removed and the 5 upgrades costing coins were added. On December 7^th, 2022, the upgrades costing real-world money were re-added back to the game as an alternative to the upgrades costing coins.

On February 16^th, 2023, the upgrades costing coins for Pikmin, nectar, and flower petals changed amounts and prices. Before this date, a Pikmin storage upgrade cost 180 coins and increased the limit by 20, a nectar storage upgrade cost 180 coins and increased the limit by 25, and a flower petal storage upgrade cost 180 coins and increased the limit by 25.

On January 29^th, 2024, the maximum capacity for Pikmin storage increased from 2,000 to 3,000. Any upgrades past 2,000 can only be purchased with real-world money.

On July 1^st, 2024, the maximum capacity for postcard storage increased from 2,000 to 3,000. Any upgrades past 2,000 can only be purchased with real-world money.

On April 30^th, 2025, the maximum capacity for Pikmin storage increased from 3,000 to 3,200. If the player's storage is at 3,150 or below, upgrades remain at increments of 50 Pikmin, but if the player's storage is at 3,160 or above, upgrade increments decrease to 10 Pikmin.

On October 23^rd, 2025, the maximum capacity for Pikmin storage increased from 3,200 to 4,000, and the maximum capacity for postcard storage increased from 3,000 to 4,000. For Pikmin storage, if the player's storage is at 3,950 or below, upgrades remain at increments of 50 Pikmin, but if the player's storage is at 3,960 or above, upgrade increments decrease to 10 Pikmin.

On December 15^th, 2025, the maximum capacity for seedling storage increased from 100 to 200. Any upgrades past 100 can only be purchased with real-world money.

On May 20^th, 2026, the maximum capacity for Pikmin and postcard storages increased from 4,000 to 4,500, and the maximum capacity for nectar storage increased from 1,000 to 1,200. For Pikmin storage, if the player's storage is at 4,450 or below, upgrades remain at increments of 50 Pikmin, but if the player's storage is at 4,460 or above, upgrade increments decrease to 10 Pikmin.

Mii costumes

This section contains costumes for Miis. It was added to the shop several months after the game's release, initially appearing inconsistently between July 11^th and July 22^nd, 2022, before becoming a permanent part of the shop on July 23^rd, 2022. On October 13^th, 2022 (as part of update 55.0), the section was renamed from "Mii Items" to "Mii Costumes" and was reduced in size, only showing 6 featured items, and a button labeled "See other items" was added to link to the Mii editor, where the rest of the items can be bought from.

The Detector was added to this section in version 45.0; before this update, Detectors could only be individually bought from the Detector menu.

The Weekly Challenge Ticket and Mushroom Recharge Ticket were added on the introduction of these items.

On January 18^th, 2023, the amounts and prices of petals changed. Before this date, they were bought in packs of 180 instead of 200, and cost 50, 150, 200, and 180 coins for white, yellow, blue, and red petals respectively.

On February 1^st, 2023, red nectar, yellow nectar, and blue nectar were added to this section.

The Flower Planting Accelerator was added to this section in update 63.0/63.1 on the introduction of the item.

A 10-pack of Mushroom Recharge Tickets and the 10-pack of Detectors were added in update 66.0.

On October 6^th, 2023, the price and content pack of Mushroom Recharge Tickets was adjusted. It changed from 1190 to 1200 coins and from 10 tickets to 11 tickets. This change was announced on September 29^th, 2023.

On November 1^st, 2023, the price of a Weekly Challenge Ticket was adjusted from 100 coins to 200 coins. This change was announced on October 25^th, 2023.

The Mushroom Battle Bullhorn was added to this section on January 31^st, 2025; before this update, additional Mushroom Battle Bullhorn charges could not be purchased for coins.

Bundle packs

This section contains packs of items. It was introduced on August 17^th, 2022, and before that date, packs in this section were in the limited time offers section. These packs are still limited-time, but are available for much longer time periods.

Counterintuitively, buying coins in bulk can result in fewer coins gained for the same cash amount, depending on the exact currency being used.

Trivia

• Early beta testers of the app have increased storage limits by default. These are:
  • 500 of each kind of nectar instead of 200.
  • 500 of each kind of petals instead of 300.
  • 1000 Pikmin instead of 300.
  • 50 seedlings instead of 30.
