Yeah, I saw that before. Would it be worth transcribing them and putting them on the page? Of course, there are no official English words, but it would just be an approximate translation. Or maybe just an exerpt, the repeated part, maybe? GP
I've got the whole thing wriiten down. You want me to put the entire song in? I'll also add an audio excerpt now.--Prezintenden
Well, just use your discretion. If it's really long and a lot is repetitive, then it's probably only worth putting an extract, sort of the main part (is there a chorus?) GP 19:02, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Could someone figure out what the French lyrics to this song from SSBB are and post them? They're definately different than the japaneese version, as the French one starts out with: "We are Pikmin, and we must fight, <a few mini-lines too garbled for my ear>, and be eaten by enemies..." or to that effect. If someone could transcript the lyrics for me, I'd happily translate them to English. 208.114.155.40 20:55, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Have you seen the commercials for the wii Pikmin? It uses this song! Like the original Pikmin commercials... some of the trailers also have the music from Forest Navel and Final Trial. That's nostalgic. Portal-Kombat

I haven't seen any Pikmin Wii commercials, no. Guess they're not on here yet. GP
Nor here... I'm ~LonelyRedpikminsprite.jpgTurret~ And I approve this message.
Japanese ones on Youtube. Portal-Kombat

thanks for the postsonouricrom[edit]

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

What are you talking about? I'm pretty sure this doesn't belong here, even if it's not vandalism. Twinmold.pngSnakeboss14Twinmold.png

What is the source of these lyrics?[edit]

The Japanese lyrics on this page seem very weird to me for multiple reasons that make me doubt that they're the official lyrics.

Firstly, the spacing. Japanese written only in Hiragana (which is often seen in children's media) often includes spaces for ease of reading. However, the spaces here are placed weirdly. The particles (small words like "wa", "ga", "no", etc.) are spaced separately from the words they're attached to, which is extremely uncommon. This style of spacing is not even used in the original Japanese version of Pikmin. In the Hiragana-only mode of Pikmin, particles are written directly after the words they attach to, without an intervening space. For example, the first sentence of Olimar's introductory monologue is written as "わたしの なまえは キャプテン・オリマー。?", where the particles "?" and "?" do not have spaces between themselves and their preceding words.

Secondly, the punctuation. The Japanese lyrics on this page use "。。。" as ellipses instead of "…", "⋯", or even "・・・". This is a very weird choice of punctuation that seems to indicate that the lyrics here were not typed by somebody who knows Japanese very well. The "。" character is not normally used for ellipses.

Thirdly, the typos. In the lyrics for "Namida ga Afureta" included on this page, the second line of the chorus includes two typos. The word "って?" is misspelled as "?", and there is an extraneous character "?". If these were the official lyrics, it seems weird to me that they would include these obvious typos.

Does anyone have a source for these lyrics? Is this really how the official Japanese lyrics are written? I apologize if this comes across as rude or disrespectful. I just want to make sure. zavegonzo (talk)

This page has existed for years. It's quite possible somebody just wrote what they thought was good enough, and it was left undisputed till today. Judging from the page's history, the Romaji was introduced by me in 2008, and though it's been over a decade, I can imagine I got that from the likes of GameFAQs. Well, the Hiragana got introduced in the merge with wikia in August of 2014, and in turn, it got introduced by User:Skitt in June of 2014. I'll ask him for details. — {EspyoT} 15:12, January 6, 2021 (EST)
I just cracked open my Strawberry Flower disc and found the official lyrics in the pamphlet, so I am in the process of copying it into text format, the way its formatted in there. — {SkittT}
I found a scan of the song lyrics a while ago. Do you want me or the others to put these as lyrics? Also, do you want me to retranslate the lyrics to English or is it adequate enough to be left as is? -- White Eye User signature. 日出づる雲 2:10 PM, 14 April, 2023 (CST)
