Since this subject has no official name, the name "Spray drop" is conjectural.

An Ultra-Spicy Spray drop.

To concoct a spray, 10 berries must be collected. However, once at least 1 spray of a certain kind has been made, spray drops occasionally appear. These blobs, similar in appearance to nectar, immediately add 1 spray dose to the inventory when collected. This means that these drops are more valuable than berries, as one doesn't need to gather 10 of them to gain a dose.

Unlike nectar, however, Pikmin cannot collect it. Once a captain walks over it, he'll squat down and proceed to suck up the liquid. This doesn't make sense, however, as the captain is seen clearly drinking it using his mouth, despite the fact that there's the helmet blocking, and that these drops probably shouldn't be edible. This could've been done on purpose as a joke on how Pikmin drink nectar.

Due to different lighting conditions inside caves, it is possible for spray drops to occasionally appear with odd colors, such as blue or orange.

Drops can be found on the following places, after at least 1 spray of them has been made:

If the player can make it so that both captains drink a drop at once, the game will register it as two individual collections, and add 2 sprays to the inventory. To do this, the player must separate his captains, and leave one of them next to a drop. Then, change to the other captain, and have him push the idle captain into the blob. This will make the idle captain absorb it. Before the drop is gone, the captain the player is currently controlling (i.e. the one that pushed) should go and drink it as well.

Occasionally, an Ultra-Spicy Spray drop may provide an extra Ultra-Bitter Spray instead. This can be caused purposely by absorbing a spray drop at the same time a petrified enemy is defeated.
