It has now been announced that Pikmin 3 is in production, and previews have been released. At E3 2012, Pikmin 3 was discussed and could be tried out; [[Challenge Mode (Pikmin 3)|a challenge mode]] in which the new leader is to collect fruit with red and the new [[rock Pikmin]], and the other mode being a boss battle against the [[Armored Mawdad]].
