The Spellbound Friends is a treasure that is unlocked when the player scans the amiibo Pikmin from the Pikmin series. It looks just like the amiibo, and is worth , but it can also be used to call Pikmin for support in an area, and to summon other treasures in Secret Spots.

Collecting the treasure

After scanning the amiibo on the area selection screen (in any sector), the treasure will appear in one of the Secret Spots of the area. Then, the player has to retrieve the Oversized Replica in that spot.

Utility

To do: Verify what treasures can be summoned by the amiibo Pikmin, and if it really depends of the sector.

This amiibo can be used in two ways :

  • Like a regular amiibo, he will appear in a Secret Spot. If it's used several times, however, it will summon treasures from amiibos, depending in which sector the player is.
  • It can be scanned in the Pikmin Park, where it can be upgraded. In order to do this, the Pikmin Park has to receive more Pikmin. At the beginning, the amiibo Pikmin is at his first level, and can call 4 Pikmin only. Here's the list of upgrades:
  • 100 Pikmin in the park: level 2 (8 Pikmin can be called)
  • 200 Pikmin: level 3 (12 Pikmin can be called)
  • 400 Pikmin: level 4 (16 Pikmin can be called)
  • 500 Pikmin: level 5 (20 Pikmin can be called)

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

I noticed some Pikmin in the wild, so I called out, "Hey!" But there was no response. Were they under some spell? I saw some mysterious writing under them... Maybe if I can decipher it,

I can figure out how to free them.
