Talk:Tane no Uta

In the first verse, is it talking about singular Pikmin, or is it supposed to be plural? —Jimbo Jambo

Japanese doesn't use either plurals or the definite/indefinite articles. So in the first verse, the line could be "Purple Pikmin are strong", "The purple Pikmin is strong", "A purple Pikmin is strong", or any other combination you can think of. It seems to make more sense in the plural though.

This wiki is missing a song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UoF8iY5qyU ChozoBoy 17:44, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay, research indicates that either Namida Ga Afureta was used as the title screen of Pikmin 2. Ai no Uta was in Pikmin 1 adverts, Tane no Uta in Pikmin 2 ones. Pikmin Dance was a release of dance versions of Ai no Uta.
Also, of Ai no Uta, "The largest purchasing demographic of the song was middle aged men." 0_o

Maybe 'Pikmin Music'??? I'm ~CrystalRedpikminsprite.jpgLucario~ And I approve this message.

I think they'd be nicer in a template. Don't forget the French song, too. 76.116.90.5 00:14, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Good call but, a template just won't work for listing the music maybe Describing it... I'm ~CrystalRedpikminsprite.jpgLucario~ And I approve this message.
The French one's still Ai no Uta, just translated. And yeah, I think it'd be a good idea to put them all on one page and make the individual names redirects to it, since it helps when describing them, as they're all linked; and they're short to have as articles of their own.GP 11:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

This is a lot more cheerful than Ai no Uta - Deku link1 (talkcontribs)

Music[edit]

Should we add the music? Like an excerpt? Ford4385 (talk) 09:43, 7 March 2015 (EST)

We're still going to decide whether we're adding any bits of music whatsoever, and if we are, if they're going to be full tracks or just excerpts. We'll handle this later. — {EspyoT} 11:04, 8 March 2015 (EDT)

Lyrics[edit]

I found a scan of lyrics from a Japanese blogger who brought a copy of 種のうた album. While the scan is pretty bad, the user was kind enough to type in the lyrics for both songs. While I'll try to find a better scan, do you want me to put the lyrics in? Source: https://ameblo.jp/forogu4286/entry-11571524585.html -- White Eye User signature. 日出づる雲 2:20 PM, 14 April, 2023 (CST)
