Could someone actually move this to 9-day run for proper capitalization? For some reason it doesn't want to let me move it over the redirect and it's specifically telling me not to copy and paste the contents to preserve the page history. —Jimbo Jambo

Well, usually I can move pages over redirects, the only other time I couldn't being with the Dwarf Bulborbs page...then again, maybe I'm thinking of another wiki. I don't have rights there, but maybe the required rights are different er something. Anyway, thanks. —Jimbo Jambo

8-day run

Apparently going to DS on day 4 means there are no Snitchbugs, plus OoB glitches letting you save time by getting 2 parts quicker, means you can do DS in one day and have an 8-day Pikmin 1 run. So what we need to do is:

• move this to "8-day run (Pikmin 1)".
• move "8-day run" to "8-day run (Pikmin 2)".
• update this page; I'd want to wait for confirmation that the other days stay in the same order since I'm not too familiar with the first game, but if anyone else is more confident, go ahead.
• create a page for the Spotty Bulbear glitch used.
• link to the glitch page on UV Lamp and Chronos Reactor and note they're possible without yellows.
• use the glitch to test the first of the gate glitches (I'm doing this now; need to start from the start, though...).
• note on DS it can be done in one day? Under trivia or something - but then, I guess we don't do the same on WW. Should we?

No, no. You want to rename this to 8-day run? Calm down! We don't know for sure yet if the game can be completed in 8 days. I really want to see it, and I want to believe it's possible, but as for now, it's too soon. Even if it can be done, it's still too soon to change the name. Well, I'm pretty trusting of people at SDA, and the glitch videos are a bit of evidence for it, and if someone can get to DS by day 4 (requires an extra part on day 2 or 3, probably 2 would be best to leave lots of time on 3 for enough blues to finish DS in one day; I'm pretty sure that's doable 'cause yesterday, having only played through the game once before, a long time ago, I got all but 2 of the parts you'd need on day 2 on the first try without looking anything up, and got the others well before midday the next day) to check if there really are no Snitchbugs, that would help. Plus, (s)he said he was working on a video.

Besides, glitch stuff is undisputable and can be done before further confirmation. GP

Nice, thanks. We probably need a page for that OoB glitch, and then we can link to it. In fact, it'd probably make more sense to have an 'Out-of-bounds glitches' page for all glitches that get a captain OoB in both games. SEVEN-day run

Well... If only we had waited a bit longer, we wouldn't have moved the article, as apparently, a 7-day run is possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku39UYjYgjg&feature=feedu This is the second part of an attempt on a single-day FoH run. And well, you'd have to be crazy to say that a single-day run on this area is impossible. The first part is in another video, but it's not relevant. Now, on this video, you can see that only one piece failed to be retrieved, by just a few seconds! And well, it doesn't take a genius to notice that, if the Snagret had gotten stuck on the first try, there would definitely be enough time to retrieve the piece, and complete FoH in one day. So theoretically, it's very possible. It's just a matter of weeks until we see the world's first 7-day run of Pikmin. {Espyo^T} 09:30, 25 September 2011 (EDT)

It's day 3, so he spent an extra day at IS to grow more Pikmin. Anyway, as discussed in the SDA topic I linked at the beginning of all this, if you can collect Positron Generator on day 2 and grow lots of reds in the same day (a video of how to do that is linked), then this (or FN in one day) becomes valid. (And you can tell he didn't do this as it says 8 parts at the end, which is Main Engine plus all but one of the 8 in FoH.) GP 10:22, 25 September 2011 (EDT)

I wouldn't say weeks because this brings huge problems in a few aspects:

• No one has actually gotten the Positron Generator out of the water in one day.

• You have to clear the Distant Spring in one day with Snitchbugs, with makes this DRASTICALLY harder.

That's pretty interesting. Apparently, because of these videos, it shows that a 1-day FoH run is possible... And we very well know that a 1-day run of FN, DS and FT is possible. But we need more proof. The more proof, the better! --PikminFanatic23

According to a Blueless Quest faq i read once, all FoH parts can be obtained w/o blues. Logic follows that an insanely pro speedrunner can pull it off in one day. 137.186.79.187 00:17, 18 April 2012 (EDT)
