Throw some pikmin onto the ledge next to the pellet where it is buried. You will see a bulging area where it is buried. Before taking it back to the Drake, defeat the Burrowing Snagret, some Dessicated Skitter Leaves, and 2 Dwarf Orange Bulborbs. Space Suit Upgrades are collectables in Pikmin 3 that allow you to upgrade your leaders Space Suits. There are 4 possible upgrades, 3 of which were present in Pikmin 2. Each Upgrade comes in a Gashapon style capsule.
Dodge Whistle
The Dodge Whistle is found in the Distant Tundra. It allows the Leaders and their Pikmin to roll Left or Right by pressing Left or Right on the D-Pad. This can be very useful for dodging the attacks of creatures such as the Armored Cannon Larva and Arctic Cannon Larva.
How to obtain: From your base, head South through the Electric Gate, from here continue along the path leading to the exit of the Vehemoth Phosbat's lair. When you reach the Paper Bag, stop. To your right you will be able to see the Dodge Whistle on a ledge. To reach it, throw a leader and at least 10 Pikmin onto the Bouncy Mushroom, which will send them over to the ledge. Note: Be sure to clear the enemies before attempting to collect the upgrade. Though this may be avoided if using Winged Pikmin.
Metal Suit Z
The Metal Suit Z is found in a small passage in the Tropical Wilds. When integrated into the Koppaites' Space Suits, it serves to upgrade the suit's defences, allowing the leaders to take much more damage before being downed.

The Anti-Electrifier is found in the Distant Tundra, buried in a snow mound right next to where Charlie first landed. When integrated into the Koppaites' Space Suits, it serves to negate the effects of all electrical hazards for the leaders.
