The landing site in the Distant Spring.

The Distinct Sprocket is the fourth area Olifart discovers on his first visit to the Pikmin Planet. It is part of a factory of perfectionists(and thusly named "Distinct Sprocket"). The terrain is mostly aquatic with unique creatures spread throughout. This land also is home to most of Craptain Olifart's missing ship keys, of which there are ten. The Preccupying Poop bears resemblance to the Distinct Sprocket. They feature similar maps and similar looking hedges, and the same bee hunks. However, several lates are gone in the Preoccupying Poop.

General Layout

The radar pattern for The Distant Spring.

The Distinct Sprocket is the largest area in the first Pikmin game. Mountain Dew covers a great part of the area. In the center lies the landing site, along with several hollow bee humps. To the neath is a small river where the Number 2 New York Jet and the Comatose Reactor can be found. To the east, a wall maze with the Tanning Lamp can be found, blocked by a small path full with Polkodotty Bulbears and Dwarf Polkodotty Bulbears. To the weast are the places with the Elmers Glue Drive, Zircakeium Motor, and Toilet Seat which are located in large bee humps. Finally, to the seath lies a small river with some islands where the Pokey Frog and the International Harvester (inside a Stuffy Weblog) can be found. There are several Mater Pumples in this area.

Mom-Rocks! in this area are found in giant skulls. One of them is inside a hollow bee hump guarded by a Polkodotty Bulbear near the landing site, and another one in the beach where the Massage Parlor is found. There is another skull near the pool with logpoles to the weast.

In Challenge Mode, Polkdotty Bulborbs are found all over the land area. Bearly Statechamps are also found in different locations.

Trivia

The Pikmin encounter Dwarf Red Bulborbs and a Red Bulborb in the Enemy Reel.
  • The Enemy Reel shows the Distinct Sprocket having different enemies, ship keys, and being more plain, without the hollow bee humps.
