Ultra-spicy spray
Ultra-Spicy Spray is a red-colored spray that can be obtained by gathering ten Ultra-Spicy berries from a Burgeoning Spiderwort plant, or finding a concentrated dose. When used, any Pikmin in the party will become more efficient at their tasks.
Use
By pressing Paddown / 
, any Pikmin following the current leader's party, regardless of distance, will be powered up; Pikmin not in the party will not be affected. Their leaf, bud, or flower will be replaced with a pink flashing light, similar to the one over Olimar's head. Their maximum speed becomes almost as fast as flowered White Pikmin and the affected Pikmin gain attack speed, which also improves their efficiency when taking down gates, constructing bridges, and recovering from enemy attacks. After 40 seconds, all effects wear off. While the spray's effect can be extremely useful in many situations, caution should be observed, as drowning, burning, or suffocating Pikmin sprayed with an Ultra-Spicy Spray will actually die more quickly than unsprayed Pikmin.
Pikmin carrying objects have their attributes changed in a different way. All Pikmin become the same speed as a standard-colored flower Pikmin (Red, Yellow or Blue). If the effects of the spray wear off while the Pikmin are carrying the object, they will continue carrying at the same speed as if they were powered up, until they deliver the object or drop it.
Although the spray causes most of the Pikmin to improve in terms of speed and attack, all changed attributes are set to the same value for all colors, meaning that flowered White Pikmin lose some speed and Purple and Red Pikmin lose attack strength; however, all Pikmin experience a gain in attack speed.
If the spray button is pressed while there are no Pikmin in the current leader's party, nothing will happen, and no spray will be deducted from the total.
Obtaining
The main way to increase the spray count is to collect ten Ultra-Spicy berries, which can be retrieved from Burgeoning Spiderworts. The first time one of these berries is found, the ship gives a short speech and then request the two captains to bring it another specimen. After the ship receives nine more berries, it will create an Ultra-Spicy Spray. This spray is usually discovered before the Ultra-Bitter Spray.
Concentrated doses can be found by breaking eggs, defeating petrified enemies, fighting Iridescent Glint Beetles and Iridescent Flint Beetles, squishing Ujadani, or defeating red Unmarked Spectralids. Red berry-producing Burgeoning Spiderworts are located in every above ground region except the Valley of Repose. Note that these blobs of concentrated doses will only appear after the first Ultra-Spicy Spray has been concocted with berries.
