Pikipedia has a featured image system, where selected high-quality images are shown on the Main Page, similar to featured articles. The image shown changes automatically each day, based on the list of images in Template:Featured image.

Anyone can nominate an image to be added to the featured image list. To do this, edit this page and add a link to the image you'd like to nominate, providing a short reason why you think it's high-quality if you'd like to. A staff member can then add the image to the template if they agree that it's high-quality. Images can be removed from the featured image list in the same way. Copying and pasting this skeleton may help:

A photo of a Swooping Snitchbug in the Distant Tundra.
One of the Swooping Snitchbugs in Distant Tundra in Pikmin 3 Deluxe.
  • - Drought Ender, idk I think it looks pretty.
    • I agree, and although I think it could be slightly better, it's still absolutely good enough to be featured. I'll add it to the template when the first rotation is done and all the issues in the template have been fixed, which will be in a few months (sorry for the wait). — Soprano(talk) 23:04, August 18, 2022 (EDT)

The treasure discovery cutscene for the Spherical Atlas in all three regions of the game. Each region makes the treasure face a different way.
400px size
  • This image was recently featured, and I propose that we remove it from the featured image list, due to it being too wide to be seen clearly in the context featured images appear in. There's a limit to how large we can make images without them causing width issues on the Main Page on desktop, and at a good maximum width of 400px, the details in this image are too small to see. On mobile devices, this problem also exists. For that reason, I think we should un-feature this image and replace it with the one nominated above. — Soprano(talk) 21:40, December 2, 2022 (EST)

  • These are some of the pictures from Template talk:Featured image. I think these three are all good enough to feature. ~ Contributions Cheepy (talk)
    • In my opinion, these images just aren't quite good enough... The Courage Reactor one has clearly been stretched from a 3:4 aspect ratio to 16:9, so its quality isn't good. The Short Movies one isn't at a high-enough resolution. The S.S. Drake one is alright, but the framing and lighting isn't great, and surely there's a better image of it we could feature? — Soprano(talk) 19:26, December 10, 2022 (EST)
      • There might be a better S.S. Drake picture somewhere. I could definitely get better-quality versions of the first and last pictures though. ~ Contributions Cheepy (talk)

  • It might be a good idea to add some Pikmin 4 prerelease images to the featured image list. These 3 are the best ones so far. If they were added, it would have to be indicated in the description that they're prerelease images (except for the key art). What do people think? — Soprano(talk) 22:32, February 23, 2023 (EST)
    • Agreed. They're good images now, and they'll be good images post-launch (where readers can compare to what the game looks like in its finished state). — {EspyoT} 13:11, March 7, 2023 (EST)

  • With the release of Pikmin 4 i think we should add the treasure catalogue images of full series, they're really nice displays and would look great as featured images. Adalent 00:20, August 8, 2023 (EDT)
    • I agree! I'll add a few of them in a few weeks, as part of a larger Pikmin 4 image update. — Soprano(talk) 03:30, August 10, 2023 (EDT)
  • It's been over a year but it's finally time for this update; I don't think we should add all of the series images, but we should add a few; I think the 4 above are the best ones. Should these images be featured? — Soprano(talk) 04:50, September 11, 2024 (EDT)
    • Yeah these images look pretty nice alongside showing the variety of treasures in Pikmin 4. Twins1105 (talk) 19:05, September 11, 2024 (EDT)

High definition map of The Final Trial. This was made by taking screenshots using Dolphin's free camera mode, stitching them together with Hugin, and readjusting any details with GIMP.
A high-definition map of the The Final Trial.
  • This is the only HD map from Pikmin and Pikmin 2 that hasn't been featured on the list, and I think it's good enough to be featured like the rest. — GGabryy(talk) 18:26, February, 2024 (CET)
    • The reason it wasn't selected is because of its height (it's a really tall image, which means it doesn't look as good in the template), and because it's a dedicated final area so it could be a bit of a spoiler (the Formidable Oak map is also not featured for this reason). — Soprano(talk) 15:33, February 29, 2024 (EST)

Some breakable pots covering the air vent to exit the Hectic Hollows.

  • I think this image is very aesthetically pleasing! The mushrooms and fallen leaves give a very cosy vibe, and the earthen hues of the floor are complimented astoundingly by the beige breakable pots. The light blue gleam just tops off the calm and beautiful image, denoting this grotto's proximity to the surface. I can almost feel the warm sunbeam on my face! • I think this image is good enough to be featured, so I'll add it to the list. — Soprano(talk) 04:50, September 11, 2024 (EDT)

  • I would like to nominate these 4 images, the PSM images because of how nice they look and the Koppai image as a replacement of Koppai close-up.jpg because it's higher quality. Twins1105 (talk) 22:11, July 29, 2024 (EDT)
    • I agree that these 3 Pikmin Short Movies images are good images to feature, and I agree with replacing the Koppai image. — Soprano(talk) 04:50, September 11, 2024 (EDT)

  • I would like to remove these Pikmin 4 prerelease images from the featured image set. The first one has text on the artwork, which featured images ideally shouldn't have in my opinion, and the second one doesn't reflect the game as the in-game version of this scene has slightly different lighting. The third featured Pikmin 4 prerelease image can stay featured though, as it represents the game and is a good demonstration of combat. — Soprano(talk) 04:50, September 11, 2024 (EDT)
    • Removing the pre-release Blossoming Arcadia image is a good idea alongside removing the key art especially since we don't have any featured key art that I can recall off the top of my head. Twins1105 (talk) 19:05, September 11, 2024 (EDT)

  • The cutscenes that play when you first visit each area in Pikmin 4 have some great views of the areas, and I think some screenshots of these cutscenes should be featured. I've chosen these 6 images, though potentially other images from these cutscenes could be featured instead. — Soprano(talk) 04:50, September 11, 2024 (EDT)
    • These all look good to me. They're shots used by the game for a reason.--PopitTart (talk) 17:35, September 11, 2024 (EDT)

  • I think these Pikmin 4 renders are pretty appealing and would make for good featured images. --PopitTart (talk) 20:37, September 11, 2024 (EDT)
    • I think they're good images, but we shouldn't feature all of them. Pikmin 3 has a similar set and I only picked the Yellow Pikmin and Rock Pikmin images. I think the best ones in this set are the Yellow Pikmin, White Pikmin, and Glow Pikmin images, so we could feature just those ones. If we just featured a few images from this set, would those be the best ones to choose? — Soprano(talk) 18:13, September 23, 2024 (EDT)
