Velvety Dreamdrop (エンガワノミ) is a fruit found in Pikmin 3. It appears to be a Loquat. It takes 5 Pikmin to lift this fruit. It produces a single cup of juice for the captains to drink. It has no appearance in Mission Mode, but has many appearances in Bingo Battle.

How to obtain

There are 4 Velvety Dreamdrops in Pikmin 3's main story, located in the Tropical Wilds, Garden of Hope, and Distant Tundra.

Tropical Wilds

There are 2 Velvety Dreamdrops in the Tropical Wilds.

The first is located inside of an Armored Cannon Larva, and requires at least 2 captains, but 3 is advised. There is a tunnel in the area where the Whiptongue Bulborb and the Pocked Airhead is. Upon clearing it, there will be a path with boulders coming down from it. Throw a captain or two onto the higher ledge along with some Rock Pikmin. From there, the Armored Cannon Larva will be in sight. Kill the creature, and a Velvety Dreamdrop will be available. Do note that the Orange Bridge must be complete in order for the Pikmin to collect this fruit.

The second is inside a cave found right beside the orange bridge. Inside the cave are 2 Flighty Joustmites and many Flukeweeds. Walk around the outer edge of the area so the Flighty Joustmites are not awakened, and use the radar to find which Flukeweed has the Velvety Dreamdrop underneath it.

Garden of Hope

The Velvety Dreamdrop in the Garden of Hope can be accessed only after Louie has ran off. In the second half of the area, there is a large body of water beyond a Bamboo Gate. At the end of the body of water is a Clipboard, which holds a Velvety Dreamdrop underneath. Use Winged Pikmin to retrieve the fruit, but beware as the Puckering Blinnows can jump out of the water and grab the Pikmin for a snack. Take care of the Blinnows first before retrieving the fruit.

Distant Tundra

The last Velvety Dreamdrop is found in the Distant Tundra. It can be seen on the first time visiting the Distant Tundra, as it will be hanging on a branch. It is located on the area with the Arctic Cannon Larvae and a Whiptongue Bulborb. At the top of the area will be a pile of fragments and said bulborb. If the camera angle is changed, the player can see the fruit hanging from a tree. Throw 5 Pikmin onto it and it will be weighed down.

"The taste of this one takes me back to Auntie Bea's famous fruit pastries. The pit's pretty big, so there's not a whole lot of juice in there. But maybe someday this pit will grow into a tree in Auntie Bea's backyard, and she can taste it for herself."
