The Blonde Impostor (ミカケヒトシ?, lit.: "Similar Appearance") is a fruit in Pikmin 3 and a treasure in Pikmin 4. This is a golden kiwifruit, and like the Disguised Delicacy, which is also a kiwi, it splits into two pieces when discovered whole. Each half produces only three-fourths of a cup of juice, so for the full cup and a half, both pieces must be recovered (this is limited to three-eighths and three-fourths respectively in Ultra-Spicy mode). This fruit does not appear in either Mission Mode or Bingo Battle. In Pikmin 4, it can be found in the Secluded Courtyard and Cavern for a King.

Collecting the fruit[edit]

A map of the Twilight River as it appears on the mini radar in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. This was made by manually arranging the textures for each section of the area to align with the corresponding radar map.

The strategies shown are just suggestions.

First, you must obtain the Winged Pikmin and order them to lift the dam in order to open the second half of the area. Ride the lily pad until near the Bouncy Mushroom, and throw at least one leader as well as some Rock Pikmin and Winged Pikmin onto the Bouncy Mushroom. The fruit is inside the crystal. Any type of Pikmin can carry it back, but using the Winged Pikmin is much easier as they can carry it over water. Just make sure to defeat the nearby Arachnode so they do not get stuck in its web. If you use grounded Pikmin, the electric gate must be destroyed or the Pikmin will take the Burrowing Snagret path, which will make it emerge from the ground and eat the carrying Pikmin.

Secluded Courtyard[edit]

There is a Blonde Impostor hanging from a high-up cobweb on the far west of sublevel 3 of the Secluded Courtyard. To collect this treasure, you must throw 5 Yellow Pikmin at it.

Cavern for a King[edit]

There is a Blonde Impostor lying in a pond along the western edge of sublevel 19 of the Cavern for a King, next to three Cupid's Grenades and a Zest Bomb. To collect this treasure, you must throw 5 Blue Pikmin or Winged Pikmin at it.

Brittany's notes

US version icon.png US version

Aha! This furry little fruit tried to hide itself under a veil of camouflage and fuzz, but I won't be fooled. Tell me, Ms. Fauna, if you are indeed animal and not vegetable, WHERE ARE YOUR LEGS?!

Checkmate, fruit.
European version icon.png European version
Aha! This fuzzy fruit obviously wanted to camouflage itself as a wild beast, but I wasn't fooled for a minute. The lack of legs was a dead give-away. In any case, it's so delicious-looking, and so full of Piktamin U, that I doubt the odd limb or two would put me off...

Schnauz's notes[edit]

"Is the Blonde Impostor simply a Disguised Delicacy in...disguise?" you might ask. Not at all! It's very much its own fruit! It's juicy and sweet, and it has even more of the beautifying vitamin, Piktamin U, than its green cousin. Imposter? Psh. It's as real as it gets!

Olimar's notes[edit]

My wife went through a phase where all she talked about was Piktamin and its nutritious value. She charted Piktamin U percentages, and then there was A and P... I never really understood what she was talking about, but she was so passionate about it I couldn't help but listen. I bet she'd really like to try this fruit.

Louie's notes[edit]

It has fewer seeds and tastes a hint sweeter than its green counterpart.
