The Whimsical Radar is one of the ship parts found in Pikmin. It is the only part that has another function besides helping the Dolphin run, allowing the player to view a map of the current area to pinpoint the Pikmin, including strays, and the missing ship parts. In Pikmin 2, the radar is available from the start of the game.
Collecting the part
This part is to the north of where the Yellow Onion is first found, past a stone gate. It is resting on a ledge that any Pikmin can reach. Destroy the gate using the nearby bomb-rocks, then defeat the Dwarf Bulborbs and Spotty Bulborb. Its sonar can be heard ringing as Olimar approaches it, so it is very easy to find.
