Twilight River Remix is a Mission Mode stage in Pikmin 3. It is set in parts of the Twilight River, with different enemy and object placement to Story Mode, and is playable in the Battle Enemies! mode only. In the original Pikmin 3, it was released as downloadable content on November 6^th, 2013, while in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, it is part of the base game and can be unlocked by completing the first 5 Battle Enemies! stages.

Layout

The player starts with all three leaders near the Rock Onion. Near the Onion is a group of 10 planted Rock Pikmin. Going east, the player will soon run into a Dwarf Orange Bulborb near the blue bridge. Further east is a Nectarous Dandelfly flying over a dirt mound. Curving around the path, the player will see 2 Desiccated Skitter Leaves near an entrance to the lily pad system. With the lily pads, the player can gain access to the upper portion of the area.

Upon reaching land, there will be a split path. To the east is a crystal wall. Beyond the wall is a Flighty Joustmite in place of where the Burgeoning Spiderwort would be, and further beyond that is a Calcified Crushblat. Near the Crushblat are 2 Blue Candypop Buds. These Candypop Buds are unique in that they can transform up to 10 Pikmin instead of 5. They are necessary to obtain Blue Pikmin, but once Blue Pikmin are obtained, there is a blue Onion on the field for growing new Blue Pikmin afterwards. To the west, the player will be greeted by a swarm of 30 Scornets guarding a pile of blue Fragments. These fragments are used to complete the bridge near the Rock Onion.

Going south will reveal a path leading back down to the original location. The end of the path is blocked off by a large crystal, and beyond it is the Winged Onion. There is a group of 10 planted Winged Pikmin nearby, and 2 Skutterchucks are watching over the area. To the east is a dirt wall that leads back to the Rock Onion. To the south is the other river of the area. On the other side of the river is a small room. Inside the room lays an Arachnode. Beyond it is a group of 5 Shearwigs, all guarding a group of Flukeweeds, some of which contain Bomb Rocks.

Back in the river, there are 6 Puckering Blinnows that are spaced out rather far apart. To the far east of the river is the Blue Onion. Near the last Puckering Blinnow is a small shore where the player can get back on land. This shore is near the blue bridge. At the end of the blue bridge waits yet another Arachnode. Beyond it is a lone Dwarf Orange Bulborb. Finally, in the circular area, there is a Burrowing Snagret awaiting.

Guide

The following article or section contains guides. The strategies shown are just suggestions.

First, have a group of two leaders go to the area with the Skutterchucks using a Go Here! command, while the remaining leader plucks the Rock Pikmin. As the leader with the Rock Pikmin, throw two or so to the Skutterchuck area. Next, you should proceed to walk to the area with the Dwarf Orange Bulborbs, clearing more enemies on the way to the crystal wall on the opposite shore and dealing with enemies past it. Split the squad with two leaders. One should take the Winged Pikmin to the alcove across the river. The other should take out the Skutterchucks with the two Rock Pikmin mentioned earlier. When all other sections are cleared, unite the captains to clear the river and the area with the Burrowing Snagret.
