Rock Pikmin are the seventh type of Pikmin discovered in the Pikmin series, first seen at E3 2012. Unlike most other Pikmin, the bodies of these Pikmin are rock, hence the name "Rock Pikmin". They will be a Pikmin type in the upcoming Pikmin 3.
Abilities
In the trailer, it has been shown they are capable of breaking down a new sort of what appears to be an icy gate, as well as defeating the new Armored Mawdad boss.
