The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Crackling Cauldron is a cave in Pikmin 4. It is located in the center of the Sun-Speckled Terrace near the Rugged Scaffold base. It has two sublevels where 20 Yellow Pikmin can be found. A majority of the enemies and obstacles here are fire related, so Red Pikmin are recommended. This cave has Icon that represents Sparklium on the wiki, based on the icon found in Pikmin 4. × 470 worth of treasure.

How to reach

From the second base, Rugged Scaffold, make your way around the bend past the electrical fence and down to a dirt wall guarded by a bulborb, though you do not have to kill it to get to the wall. After breaking down the wall, you'll find the cave's entrance on the right covered by a pile of dirt.

Notes

Olimar's Voyage Log

I was feeling hotter than usual in my space suit, and when I looked down, the ground was on fire! I panicked, but a Red Pikmin just gave me a sidelong glance, totally unfazed even as the fire licked at them. They're clearly capable of more than just skillful attacks.
