Creature Hunting is the second day of Olimar's Comeback. It takes place in the Tropical Wilds, with the objective of defeating every enemy on the map.
Olimar hones in on a signal within the Tropical Wilds, which he believes is one of the missing ship parts. However, the area is swarming with many Bulborbs, Bulbears, and other enemies native to the area (with the exception of the Bearded Amprat). This sudden migrate of enemies may imply why Olimar lands in the underpopulated Sandbelching Meerslug arena rather than the previous day's landing site, but Olimar comments that they may have landed in the "wrong spot", implying he intended to land closer to the signal. While it has only been a day since their last visit to the area, it has been drastically altered by the lack of water.
At the end of the day, Olimar does not locate anything, leaving whatever signal he detected unidentified. He comments on the loyalty of his Pikmin and his difficulties keeping them safe.
Description[edit]

Most of the mission takes place near the story mode landing site and Sandbelching Meerslug arena. The water in the area where you would cross over to the Meerslug arena is gone, and it has several enemies there. There are also walls blocking you from going into the area with the Dusk Pustules. In addition to that, the landing site has a Calcified Crushblat, which only appears once in story mode. There are also several other enemies you would not normally encounter, such as Bulborbs.

Briefing[edit]
“Timing is everything! If you can’t throw those Bomb Rocks just right to take out the strongest creatures, I don’t know what else to tell you!”
Outline[edit]
“Mission Log, Day 2: We’re homing in on a signal that might be coming from one of the ship’s parts. But the way there will take us across an area swarming with Bulborbs. Still, I don’t see any other way to progress with our mission, so we’ll have to face the danger head-on and do what we can.”
Loading screen tip[edit]

“If the monsters seem too tough to handle, bring out a Bomb Rock or some Ultra-Spicy Spray!”

Assignment Report[edit]
“Well, we didn’t find the ship we came for. It’s tough to keep the Pikmin safe through the constant attacks from this world’s inhabitants, but they’d do anything for me, so I have to do what I can for them. Besides, I’m not so bad off. I have the benefit of experience, decent equipment, and Louie. With all that, I should be home with my family in no time.”
