Land, Sea, and Sky is the third day of Olimar's Comeback. It takes place in the Garden of Hope, with the objective of defeating every enemy on the map.

Plot[edit]

Olimar and Louie continue their search for the Hocotate Ship, taking them back to the Garden of Hope. While it is located near the Quaggled Mireclops arena, Olimar and Louie search the area outside of it, defeating any enemies as they explore.

By the end of the day, they locate the Ship and discover its damage. They plan to look for the parts in the upcoming days before any indigenous creatures can.

Description[edit]

This day takes place in the Garden of Hope, in the western part of the area's main segment. Red Pikmin, Blue Pikmin, and Winged Pikmin are found in this stage, each with a separate Onion. The stage features ground-based enemies, underwater enemies, and airborne enemies, hence its name.

Olimar and Louie start near the Red Onion in the southwest of the stage. On the plateau to the northeast, there are Dwarf Orange Bulborbs and fragments for building an orange bridge to leave this plateau. At ground level to the west of this plateau, there is the Blue Onion with Watery Blowhogs nearby. On the tiled plateau to the east, there is the Winged Onion with an Orange Bulborb and Dwarf Orange Bulborbs, and this plateau can only be reached by building a blue bridge. In the water surrounding these plateaus, there are various aquatic enemies. On the land in the northeast of the stage, there are more enemies, including a mini-boss, the Bug-Eyed Crawmad.

Guide[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

First, take out the Dwarf Orange Bulborbs and start building the orange bridge, and throw a leader to the Blue Onion to collect Blue Pikmin. As the leader with the Blue Pikmin, go past the can-like bridge to defeat Puckering Blinnows and get Winged Pikmin. Start building the blue bridge with the fragments near the shore. The leader in the water should continue to defeat aquatic enemies if it doesn't interrupt the bridge-building process. Use the Winged Pikmin to defeat weaker land enemies such as the Swooping Snitchbug. Once the orange bridge is finished, reunite both leaders to get the blue bridge fragments near the orange bridge, making sure to defeat the Pyroclasmic Slooches. Once the blue bridge is finished, take out the Orange Bulborbs with the Red Pikmin, and farm Winged Pikmin if needed, as a bamboo gate needs to be raised to fight the Bug-eyed Crawmad. Winged Pikmin are also needed to raise another bamboo gate and fight the enemies beyond it, but it's possible to whistle the Pikmin to lower a gate if it's not necessary for it to stay raised. At this point, sweep throughout the level to take out the rest of the enemies, raising Pikmin numbers if needed.

Quotes[edit]

Briefing[edit]

Winged Pikmin are your most valuable employees. Only they can lift the bamboo gates, so pamper them by keeping them away from ink, water, bubbles, and danger in general. Huh? So what if I constantly send YOU into danger?

Outline[edit]

Mission Log, Day 3: I’m constantly surprised at the number and variety of local life-forms. We don’t have much choice but to deal with them if we want to recover the parts we need, though. I’ll have to devise a plan for safely transporting the part back to base. Clearing a path as I go would be a good start.

Loading screen tip[edit]

PresidentSort wisely, and defeat these creatures. You don’t want to carry them with you, do you?

Assignment Report[edit]

We found the Hocotate ship! Well…part of it. It looks like the ship suffered severe damage and its pieces were scattered here and there. This all feels very familiar, but there’s no time to wallow in nostalgia. We have to recover those parts and get them back to base before the indigenous life on this planet does who-knows-what with them.

Trivia[edit]

  • When seeing the damage to the Hocotate Ship, Olimar comments that this situation is "very familiar". This is in reference to the main plot of Pikmin, as the S.S Dolphin suffered virtually identical damage, down to the same missing parts.
