Fishing ropes are tools scattered around Pikmin 4. When encountered, they are small wooden reels, with a fishing line leading directly into the ground nearby. When enough Pikmin are ordered to pull on it, a predetermined object will be pulled from the ground, landing close to where the fishing line was cast and causing the line to be rendered inert. These objects are usually treasures, but can also be enemies. The number of Pikmin required to pull a fishing rope varies from rope to rope, and is usually close to the weight of the object that is hauled as a result.

Caves[edit]

  • Seafloor Resort
    • There is one fishing rope on sublevel 1. It is located towards the west of the sublevel, at the bottom of the smaller island; directly south of the two Fiery Blowhogs. This rope is attached to the False Lollipop, and it weighs 5 units.
    • There is one fishing rope on sublevel 5. It can be found on the raised, circular platform towards the northeast. Reaching this platform requires lowering the numbered gate. This rope is attached to a castaway, and it weighs 10 units.
  • Cavern for a King
    • There is one fishing rope on sublevel 11. It is located towards the far north, adjacent to a pair of very small alcoves. This rope is attached to the Sphere of Desire, and it weighs 7 units.

Dandori Challenges[edit]

  • Test Tubs
    • There is one fishing rope in this challenge. It is located in the northernmost room, which houses a few Puckering Blinnows, with the rope being at the at the top-right corner of the water body. This rope is attached to the Universal Rubber Cutie, and it weighs 15 units.
