The Universal Rubber Cutie (宇宙一ハンサム^?, lit.: "Universe's Handsomest") is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a large, yellow rubber duck. There are three of them in Story Mode, with one each in the Secluded Courtyard, the Seafloor Resort, and overground in the Giant's Hearth. It can also be found in 4 Dandori Challenge stages: Test Tubs, Ice-Cross Course, Planning Pools, and 3rd Story: Dig Deep.

Secluded Courtyard

There is a Universal Rubber Cutie on the ground in the northwestern corner of sublevel 1 of the Secluded Courtyard. Upon approaching it, a horde of Skitter Leaves will fall from the sky, which should be dealt with before attempting to collect it. To collect this treasure, your Pikmin (or Oatchi) will need to cross a small body of water, so you will need either 10 Blue Pikmin to carry it through the water, or 5 Ice Pikmin to freeze the water allowing any Pikmin type to carry it back.

Seafloor Resort

There is a Universal Rubber Cutie surrounded by 4 iron fences on a raised platform towards the northern side of sublevel 2 of the Seafloor Resort. To lower the iron fences, the white switch in the northeastern corner of the sublevel will need to be pressed. To do this, you'll need to burst a hydro jelly that contains a climbing stick, meaning Ice Pikmin (or an Ice Blast) are required to collect this treasure. Once the hydro jelly is burst, have your Pikmin climb the stick and land on the white switch, lowering the iron fences and allowing you to throw 10 Pikmin up to the treasure.

Giant's Hearth

There is a Universal Rubber Cutie in the far east of the area, behind an Arachnode's web. Due to the Arachnode's web being over a small body of water, Blue Pikmin should be used to carry back the treasure. However, on the slightly raised section nearby, there is a climbing stick. By having Pikmin extend this stick and having one press the switch at the top of the water pump, the small body of water will be drained, allowing any Pikmin type to carry back the treasure.

Trivia

• Olimar's notes on the Universal Rubber Cutie are almost a direct copy of his notes for the Rubber Ugly (another rubber duck treasure) in Pikmin 2, with some parts being rewritten to reflect the treasure's cuteness, as apposed to ugliness.
