The Sphere of Beginnings is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a billiards ball, specifically the 4 ball. It is located in the Below-Grade Discotheque in the Serene Shores.

Collecting the treasureEdit

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Sphere of Beginnings is half-buried in the northeastern section of sublevel 4 of the Below-Grade Discotheque. Access to it is blocked by a sizzling floor, which can be extinguished by constructing the clay valve in the northwestern corner of the sublevel and turning it. It is also guarded by two Fiery Blowhogs, which should be defeated before attempting to collect this treasure, although it is not strictly necessary if using Red Pikmin. To collect this treasure, you must throw 7 Pikmin at it.

NotesEdit

Schnauz's notesEdit

When I stare at this sacred sphere, phrases like "fresh start," "new life," and "clean slate" float before my eyes. The Sphere of Beginnings is revered for its power to open doors and sprout fresh opportunities. It reminds us that a new chapter is always just a page away.

Olimar's notesEdit

I've never minded having to start over or pick up my life at the flip of a switch. My environment and those in my social circle might change, but as long as I have my family with me, I'll still be me. They always call me out when I'm "acting totally weird."

Louie's notesEdit

Fun to roll.

TriviaEdit

  • The Sphere of Beginnings is pink whereas the standard color for a 4-ball is purple. This change is primarily used in televised pool games as the more distinct colors are easier to see through television monitors.
    • The 7-ball is similarly altered on television to be a lighter shade of brown. However, this change is not reflected in the Sphere of Good Fortune.
