The Fastening Item (つなぎとめるもの?, lit.: "Fastening Thing ") is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a blue button. It can be found three times during Story Mode, once on the Dream Home's 1st sublevel, and twice in the Primordial Thicket.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The strategies shown are just suggestions.

There is a Fastening Item inside of a breakable pot along the eastern edge of the sublevel. It is guarded by a Gildemandwee, which should be defeated before attempting to collect this treasure, although it is not strictly necessary. To collect this treasure, you must break the pot with a Rush from Oatchi or by using items.

Primordial Thicket[edit]

There are two Fastening Items lying on a platform near the northwestern edge of the Primordial Thicket. They are guarded by a Bogswallow, which might be defeated before attempting to collect these treasures, although it is not necessary to do so, depending on where your base is. You're best bet is to move the S.S. Beagle over to The Maple Bridge base (the one guarded by multiple nectar eggs), as it allows for a straight path for the two treasures to be collected. Mitites will appear from some of the eggs, so having Purple Pikmin in your squad will be useful.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

This item would have been placed between two objects and used to connect them. It's not clear what these objects might have been, but something such as this would have done the job gently and aptly. At least, that's my best guess!

Olimar's notes[edit]

This one time, when I was a kid, my parents had a big fight and refused to speak to each other. I went back and forth, mediating until the argument was resolved. I'd like to say it was for the sake of their love, but I was just tired of waiting for dinner.

Louie's notes[edit]

Could be useful for plating food. The holes might be a problem, but otherwise it's perfect.
