Crimson Candypop Buds (べ二ポンガシグサ?, lit.: "Crimson Puffed Grain Weed") are red Candypop Buds in Pikmin 2. They behave the same as all other Candypop Buds, except when non-red Pikmin are thrown in, they will change into Red Pikmin. If Red Pikmin are thrown in, they will be reverted to the leaf maturity.
They technically do appear in Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4, but all Candypop Buds are merged into one in those games, meaning the are just different variants of the same plant rather than separate species of the Candypop family.
