Pikmin 4

Sprinkler

Sprinklers are obstacles in Pikmin 4 that rain down a water hazard constantly. They tend to block the player from being able to go to certain areas without either turning the sprinkler off or bringing Blue Pikmin, Glow Pikmin, or Oatchi to retrieve whatever is near it. They resemble real-life sprinklers, but have a mostly blue exterior. When active, water spews out of the sprinkler, which gives the ground around it a wet appearance. The wet ground acts as a visual representation of the sprinkler's range and area of effect, but does not mechanically act like a pool of water, instead acting as an area where Pikmin are affected by the water hazard on land. Some sprinklers can be turned off or on with the use of clay valves. The only case where a sprinkler is helpful to the player is in sublevel 4 of the Below-Grade Discotheque. In this sublevel, the player must extinguish a sizzling floor by finding the clay valve, building it, and turning it to activate the sprinkler. It will extinguish the sizzling floor and will turn off by itself.

  • Below-Grade Discotheque sublevel 4: One is located above a sizzling floor and is turned off by default. When turned on it extinguishes the sizzling floor and turns off by itself.
