This article is about the creature. For the biological family, see Centipare family.

Centipares (ムカデトンボ?, lit.: "Centipede Dragonfly") are docile creatures in Hey! Pikmin that resemble dragonflies. They have skinny pink bodies with light-blue eyes, and their length is about four times that of Captain Olimar. They float through the air in a fixed pattern, and Olimar and Pikmin can land on top of one to ride on its back. By staying on one for a while, the player can cover new ground. Despite the name they are not at all related to the Adult Centipare.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

It craves attention and control, as children do. Its back is tough enough to hold some weight without panicking. I envy it as far as that goes. The last time I tried to give my son a ride, I threw out my back.
