Squirdler family
The squirdler family is a family introduced in Pikmin 3, although it was never classified until Pikmin 3 Deluxe. It consists of only one member, the Sputtlefish, a vaguely squid-like enemy that lives underwater.

Sputtlefish

The Sputtlefish is an aquatic enemy that debuted in Pikmin 3. They are small, aquatic creatures that vaguely resemble real-world cephalopods, grabbing Pikmin with their tentacles and eating them one at a time. Sputtlefish can squirt ink to defend themselves against attackers such as Pikmin, causing them to run around in panic, and take advantage of the ensuing chaos by fleeing and regaining health.
