Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that wear a costume. They have the same function as regular Pikmin, but wear a variety of decorative outfits. There are 22 types of decor, which when combined with the 7 Pikmin types gives 154 types of Decor Pikmin to collect, plus 1 special type.

Obtaining Decor Pikmin

Decor Pikmin can be obtained in two main ways.

A Huge Seedling.

One way is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 10 and can be found from expeditions or leveling up. Huge Seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into a gift box, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of decor the player gets is determined by where the seedling was discovered. The Pikmin's type (color) is random.

The other way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by leveling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in various ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been leveled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting this box, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the gift box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. Its decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

Additionally, the player can obtain Special Decor Pikmin by other means.

Decor types

The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin Bloom.
Particularly: Confirm the names of costumes.

There are 22 types of decor, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. They are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what type of Decor Pikmin a Pikmin will level up into.

This gives them much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Their static icons in the Decor Pikmin list contain the kanji character 塔, and on postcards, the letter is always P.

Pikmin Bloom gets its location information from OpenStreetMap, so non-Roadside decor types can only appear in places where their associated location type has been documented by the OpenStreetMap community.

Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained through events and other occurrences. Currently, the only special Decor Pikmin obtainable is the Mario Hat Decor Pikmin.

Mario Hat

The Mario Hat Decor Pikmin.

This Decor Pikmin wears a replica of Mario's signature red cap. A Huge Seedling for this Pikmin can be obtained when the player links their Nintendo Account to the app. When grown and plucked, the Pikmin inside will don a replica of Mario's hat, with a keyring attached to the end. The seedling comes from Kyoto, Japan, specifically from Nintendo's headquarters, and the decor type is marked as "Special, near Nintendo". This Decor Pikmin will always be a Blue Pikmin.

Strategy

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom's main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. However, Roadside-type Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so it can be helpful to prioritize other decor types. To see what type of decor a Pikmin will put on when it reaches 4 hearts of friendship, go to the information page for a Pikmin or seedling, and look for the icon in the red circle.   is the icon for a Roadside-type, so prioritize growing seedlings that don't have this icon, and send Pikmin that don't have this icon on more expeditions and challenges to increase their friendship more. Pressing the star in the corner of a Pikmin's page favorites that Pikmin, and this is a useful way to indicate Pikmin you want to prioritize.

The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor types displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.

When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are very rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.
