The Mama Sheargrub is an enlarged version of the Female Sheargrub, but instead of roaming around endlessly and then returning back to the ground, it will try and flatten anything that tries to harm it.

Behavior

Particularly: Describe its behavior when it sees Pikmin, when it attacks, when it shakes, when it loses interest, etc.

If a player, Oatchi, or a Pikmin comes nearby the summoning area, it will dig out of the ground and roam around for a bit. Once it detects one of those three, it will flail and try and flatten anything that is beneath it. Once any threat has been neutralized it will return back into the earth. If it were to get damaged by an external force, it will try and shake its body to get rid of anything harmful against it.

The Mama Sheargrub can be swiftly be taken care of if you use a Spray and charge against it with either Oatchi, Purple Pikmin, or Rock Pikmin. If the ground is soft, you can use Rock Pikmin to avoid your army getting flattened and only have your Rock Pikmin be temporarily grounded.

Notes

Dalmo's Notes

"Since it's exceptionally large, when it squirms to move or wriggles minutely side to side to dig its whole body into the ground like a drill, you can observe it in all its exceptional detail! The way it moves is quite enchanting to watch. If only we could super-duper-size all creatures like this!"

Olimar's Notes

"The Mama Sheargrub will typically molt when it reaches maturity, then dig itself into the ground to prepare for egg laying. However, certain types, like this specimen, exhibit neioteny and retain the appearance of a juvenile of the species. If this species locates an abundant food source, they won't leave it. Sometimes they will stay at that spot for years, steadily growing to gigantic proportions, like this one. Though this specimen has the look of a juvenile, it has fully developed reproductive abilities and can achieve impressively high birth rates. Its offspring, however, are the same size as a typical Sheargrub."
