The dandelion family is a family of plants in the main three Pikmin games as well as Hey! Pikmin, and it consists of two members. These plants exist in real life as well, under the family name Asteraceae.

The Dandelion is a rare, yellow-petaled plant in the first two Pikmin games. It only appears on The Forest of Hope, the Awakening Wood and the Snagret Hole, as well as some Challenge Mode locations. It serves merely for decoration.
Seeding Dandelion

Trivia
- The Creeping Chrysanthemum shares the genus name Taraxacum, even though it is part of the chrysanthemum family. In real life, this is impossible, as different species cannot be in the same genus and different families.
