Decor Pikmin
- This article is about Decor Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom. For Decor Pikmin in Pikmin 4, see Decor Pikmin (Pikmin 4).
Decor Pikmin are Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that wear a costume. There are a variety of outfits that Decor Pikmin can wear, and the type of costume a Pikmin wears depends on the type of real-world location where it was found. These Pikmin can be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling, a Gold Seedling, or by leveling up a Pikmin's friendship to 4 hearts. There are also a variety of Special Decor Pikmin types that are obtained in different ways. In mushroom battles, Decor Pikmin have an additional 4 points added to their attack power.
Obtaining Decor Pikmin[edit]
One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 5 and can be found from expeditions, rewarded for leveling up, or received as a reward from an event. These seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into the empty planter, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of Decor Pikmin the Huge Seedling is for is determined by where the seedling was discovered, or what event is was discovered during. The Pikmin's type (color) is random.
Another way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by leveling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in a variety ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin reaches a friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been levelled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. The Pikmin's decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.
The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings, which were added to the game on July 18th, 2022, during the 2022 Chess Piece Event. Gold Seedlings can be received from events, inviting friends, weekly challenges, and Special Spots. Gold Seedlings work similarly to Huge Seedlings, in which they instantly give the player a Decor Pikmin after growing them. The only difference is that Gold Seedlings only require 100 steps to grow, rather than 10,000. The type of Decor Pikmin obtained from Gold Seedlings depends on where and how they were obtained.
In addition to regular Gold Seedlings, there are also special colored Gold Seedlings, which can be received from the Event Premium Pass after completing four Event Challenge stages, or from Special Mission Tickets. Colored Gold Seedlings were added to the game on September 4th, 2023, during the 2023 Mahjong Tile Event.
Decor types[edit]
There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases. Some decor categories have multiple decor outfits available. In these cases, the decor is randomly chosen from among the options for that category.
The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain. When viewing this icon, it will be gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, and yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to Rare Decor or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker categories but does not have the Coin decor, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.

Roadside Decor Pikmin[edit]
If the seedling is not found near any real-world location matching one of the above locations, the decor type will be
Roadside. These Pikmin wear a Sticker or a Coin. The sticker can be either green, blue, or orange, with each color being worn on a different spot on the Pikmin's body. The sticker contains a letter that is based on the first letter or character of the name of the location where the seedling was found: if the seedling is listed as being "near" a place, it uses that place's name, otherwise, it uses the name of the general area (such as the city or town it was discovered in), and if it cannot find a name for either, it will default to the letter P. (On postcards and on the static icons in the Decor Pikmin list, the letter is always P). As of v66.0 Coin Decor Pikmin were added. These Pikmin only have 1 type per Pikmin, unlike the sticker type, and the coins present on the Pikmin are from all around the world. As of November 1st, 2025, Rare Decor is also available for all types of Coin Decor Pikmin. Rare Coin Decor Pikmin wear a gold version of their regular coin.
Due to the different colors, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since May 22nd, 2023, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.
Weather Decor Pikmin[edit]
There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type
Rainy Day or
Snowy Day.
Regional exclusive Decor[edit]
The following Decor Pikmin are exclusive to certain regions.
Fortune[edit]
These Decor Pikmin can be found in the vicinity of Shrines and Temples throughout Japan, and they wear fortune-telling paper slips known as "omikuji" on their heads. Fortune Decor is available for all 7 types of Pikmin, and comes in 5 different variations for each. The "omikuji" sequence in Pikmin Bloom contains the following fortunes (ordered from best to worst):
- "Daikichi" 大吉 (Great Blessing)
- "Kichi" 吉 (Blessing)
- "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)
- "Shokichi" 小吉 (Small Blessing)
- "Suekichi" 末吉 (Future Blessing)
Rare Decor[edit]
For some Decor categories, a system called “Rare Decor Levels” is made available after collecting all Pikmin of the location category. Through specific actions relating to any Pikmin of the specific category, points are earned toward the category’s level. Each time the category levels up, a Rare Gift is made available for any Pikmin of that category to be sent out to retrieve the gift and upgrade their Decor into a Rare Decor. When a gift is rewarded, it appears on the map where the level up occurred, rather than the location the Pikmin that is sent to retrieve the gift originates from. The location the Pikmin originates from will not change after a Rare Gift is retrieved.
This system is currently available for the
Restaurant,
Café,
Waterside,
Supermarket,
Bakery,
Hair Salon, and
Roadside categories. All Rare Decor Pikmin have more colorful costumes compared to their normal counterpart, have sparkles around them when viewed in menus, and are treated as unique Decor Pikmin in the Decor Pikmin Badge. From April 26th, 2022 to September 26th, 2024, there was a rare chance of Red, Yellow, and Blue Chef Hat Decor Pikmin having Rare Decor when becoming a Decor Pikmin through regular methods.
Rare Decor Points[edit]
Points will only count towards the location type the Pikmin/seedling is for. For example, plucking a Restaurant-type Huge Seedling will earn points toward only the Restaurant category’s Rare Decor Level. Points can be earned through the following actions:
- Releasing a Pikmin without their decor earns 5 points.
- Releasing a Pikmin with their decor earns 20 points.
- Pikmin’s friendship level has no effect on how many points are earned.
- Plucking a seedling earns 30 points.
- Plucking a Huge Seedling earns 200 points.
- A Pikmin retrieving their gift expedition earns 200 points.
| Level | Requirement |
|---|---|
| 1 | Decor category completion |
| 2 | 800 points |
| 3 | 1,200 points |
| 4 | 3,000 points |
| 5+ | Every 5,000 points |
Special Decor Pikmin[edit]
Through events and other specific actions,
Special Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained.

Strategy[edit]
|
The following article or section contains guides. |
Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom's main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. To aid in getting decor types you don't already have, go to a Pikmin's information page (or a seedling's information page) to look for the icon in the red circle. This icon represents the decor type; the icon associated with each set can be seen in the table above. Focus on increasing the friendship of Pikmin from decor sets you don't already have, as when they reach 4 hearts of friendship, they will turn into a Decor Pikmin after collecting a gift. To note is that Roadside attribute Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so if a Pikmin has a
icon, it may be worth ignoring it. Pressing the star in the corner of a Pikmin's page favorites that Pikmin, and this is a useful way to indicate Pikmin you want to prioritize. To see which types of Decor Pikmin you already have, tap a Decor Pikmin-related badge on your profile page and scroll down to see a list of all Decor Pikmin types.
The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor sets displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.
When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.
Telling Decor Pikmin of the same type apart[edit]
Some Decor Pikmin categories have multiple different decors available, such as Station, which has both Paper Train and Ticket decors. Because of this, it can be difficult to determine which specific decor a Pikmin or Seedling has. However, there is a way to determine this under certain conditions.
When sorting Pikmin or Seedlings by Decor Category descending (arrow points down), the sort order is determined by:
- Decor type, in order displayed on the Decor Pikmin screen.
- Pikmin type, in the order Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged, Rock, Ice, and (for Seedlings) Huge.
- Date Discovered (for Seedlings) or Plucked (for Pikmin), from newest to oldest.
Using this knowledge, the specific decor that a Pikmin will have can be determined ahead of time (before you get them to 4 hearts after plucking, or before planting them as seedlings) if you have enough Pikmin or Seedlings of the same decor category (or a select set of them, see below). This is known as the Decor Sorting Trick.
Pikmin and Seedlings always* sort in the order Red - Yellow - Blue - Purple - White - Winged - Rock - Ice - Huge. When this ordering is not followed, it means there was a change in decor type at the point where the sort ordering was broken. For example, if you see a Red Park Decor Pikmin sorted after a Rock Park Decor Pikmin, you know for a fact that the Red Pikmin will have Four-Leaf Clover decor. A pair of Pikmin within the same decor category (ie. that have the same decor icon) for which the type ordering is opposite of the normal sort ordering is called a Missorted Pair.
Missorted pairs can be saved and used to determine the decor of any new Seedlings before growing them, or Pikmin before raising their friendship. This can be very useful when steps or nectar are limited resources.
Here are some examples:
- For categories with 2 full decor types (where every Pikmin type has both decors), a missorted pair can be saved consisting of 1 Non-Red Pikmin from the first category and 1 Pikmin of a type that normally sorts before the first type from the second category.
- For example, if you save a White Pikmin/Seedling from the first category and a Blue Pikmin/Seedling from the second, then:
- Any Red, Yellow, Blue, or Purple Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
- Any White, Winged, Rock, and Ice Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
- Any Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category
- Any Purple, White, Winged, Rock, and Ice Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category
- For example, if you save a White Pikmin/Seedling from the first category and a Blue Pikmin/Seedling from the second, then:
Roadside Decor Pikmin are more complicated, as there are 4 available decor types within the category instead of just 2, but the same idea still works. By saving a missorted pair between each of the roadside decor categories, each new Seedling’s decor type can be uniquely determined. This can be done with as few as 4 Pikmin (e.g. a Gray from the first category, a Purple from the second, a Blue from the third, and a Red from the fourth), but saving multiple separate pairs (e.g. a Red and a Huge from every category) makes it easier to determine the decor of a new Seedling at a glance.
This same sorting trick can be used with Pikmin plucked date instead of Pikmin type (ie. for Battery or Leaf Hat Decor Pikmin, which are all 1 Pikmin type), but it's much more involved. The plucked date used here is not the same property used for sorting by "Date" (which is Seedling discovery date), so it must be determined separately (ie. by nicknaming your Pikmin as they're plucked).
