Clovers are small clusters of three-leaved plants used as scenery in both Pikmin and Pikmin 2. They can be seen in numerous overworld locations, but are particularly common on "rest levels" inside several caves.
The Container of Knowledge is a treasure in the PAL version of Pikmin 2, where it is actually a Connéctable sardine tin. It is found in one of the Emperor Bulblaxes in Sublevel 4 of the Cavern of Chaos. To collect it, there are a number of strategies.  If the Bulblax containing the treasure is not in water, it is possible to throw Purple Pikmin between its eyes in the ground to defeat it quickly and easily; if it is in one of the pools, or when using other types of Pikmin, the Bomb rocks around the level can be used. Lure the beast near these, then move out of the way as it licks them up; after eating a few, it will die. If any Bomb rocks are out of the range to which it will follow a Captain, they can be nudged slowly closer by running into them a few times.
Although clovers do not directly affect gameplay, disturbing a clover patch can often scare Iridescent Flint Beetles out of hiding. Some small insects may also fly out.

This plant should not be confused with the Science Project, a treasure that is a single four-leaved clover.

Notes

Olimar's journal

I found this marvelous alloy in a hole swarming with bulborbs! On that adventure, I even clashed with an Emperor Bulblax! In honor of my triumph over that appallingly obese beast, I named the hole the Bulblax Kingdom.

Sales pitch

A heat-resistant alloy forged in the fires of justice and passion. Wear it and feel courage's burn! You have nothing to fear! (Due to horrid ventilation, this is not suited for sweaty beings.)
