The Survival Ointment (サバイバルキット?, lit.: "Survival Kit") is a treasure only found in the US version of Pikmin 2. It is a ChapStick brand of lip balm. It is found on sublevel 4 of the White Flower Garden and may be located on a ledge. Poison emitters are in the way, so use White Pikmin.
On the cap, it reads:
Sealed
For Your
Protection
Twist Cap
To Break Seal
Across the black encasement, it reads:
ChapStick
LIP BALM
Skin Protection/Sunscreen SPF 4
Active Ingredients
There is also information about the ingredients and directions, but it is too difficult to read in detail, if at all possible.
In the Switch port, the treasure is an unbranded lip balm.
Notes
Olimar's journal
“In a survival situation, the most important things are water, courage, and a first-aid kit. I've got water and an endless supply of courage, but I don't have a first-aid kit. Sometimes I don't have a whole lot of motivation, either. I may be a daring explorer, but sometimes I just want to loaf around all day and sleep. Wait... What if the president reads this journal? Uh... Ahem... I'd never dream of slacking on the job! Yeah...”
Sales pitch
“A must-have medical item for explorers. If you need powerful results, this is for you! It even comes with a testimonial from our employees! Use this and fear nothing ever again.”
