This article is about the silver ring with a square blue bauble. For the golden ring, see Frosty Bauble.

The Universal Com (ねぼけまなこモニター?, lit.: "Unconscious Monitor") is a treasure in Pikmin 2. It is found on the twelfth sublevel of the Dream Den, completely buried in the ground. Falling rocks, poison emitters, dangerous enemies, and an Antenna Beetle will make retrieving this treasure difficult, so clear the level before looking for it. White Pikmin are needed to get this treasure. This item is actually a shiny blue bead mounted on a silver-colored ring.

Notes

Olimar's journal

From the shape of it, I've concluded that this is some kind of data transmission monitor. However, Louie and the ship keep telling me that I'm way off target. I told them, "If I'm so wrong, what do you think it is? I don't see you suggesting any alternatives!" They're just being negative. I'm going with my gut feeling on this one.

Sales pitch

This communications monitor was found on an uncivilized planet! Sadly, it is broken and does not work. As such, its purpose cannot be confirmed. Yet...that only heightens its irresistible appeal. Reality...or misperception? Either way, you should buy it!

Trivia[edit]

  • Louie is missing during the venture into the Dream Den, so if the player leaves using the geyser on floor 14 without getting Louie, he would not be present to comment on Olimar's analysis of this treasure, as it says in Olimar's journal entry. This may be an oversight.
