Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin in pb that wear a costume. They have the same function as regular Pikmin, but wear a variety of decorative outfits. There are over 60 sets of costumes, and over 400 types of Decor Pikmin to collect in total. These Pikmin can be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling, a Gold Seedling, or by levelling up a Pikmin's friendship to 4 hearts. In Mushroom battles, Decor Pikmin have an additional 4 points added to their attack power.

One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 10 and can be found from expeditions or leveling up. Huge Seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into a gift box, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of decor the player gets is determined by where the seedling was discovered. The Pikmin's type (color) is random.
One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 5 and can be found from expeditions or levelling up. These seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into the empty planter, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of decor the player gets is determined by where the seedling was discovered. The Pikmin's type (colour) is random.

The other way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by leveling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in various ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been leveled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. Its decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings. These seedlings are mostly received through events but sometimes can be obtained in weekly challenges and from inviting friends to play the game. Gold Seedlings work similarly to Huge Seedlings in which they instantly give you a Decor Pikmin after growing them. The only difference is that Gold Seedlings only require 100 steps to grow instead of 10,000. The type of Decor Pikmin you obtain from these seedling depends on the event you obtain them from.

There are Colored Gold Seedlings which are received from the Premium Event Pass from every 4 Stages or from Special Mission Tickets since 4.

Decor types
Decor types
There are 22 types of decor, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. They are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what type of Decor Pikmin a Pikmin will level up into.
There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases.
* Restaurant: These Pikmin are found around restaurants of all kinds, and wear a chef hat.

* Café: These Pikmin are found around cafés and similar stores, and wear a coffee cup.
Some locations can give multiple options for what decor set you will get. In these cases, the set is randomly given among the options for that location.
* Sweetshop: These Pikmin are found around sweetshops, and wear a macaron.

* Movie Theater: These Pikmin are found around cinemas and movie theaters, and wear popcorn.
The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain.
* Pharmacy: These Pikmin are found around pharmacies, and wear a toothbrush.

* Zoo: These Pikmin are found around zoos, and wear a dandelion.
When viewing Pikmin, the icon is gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, while the icon will be yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to rare variants or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker categories but does not have the Coin decor, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.
* Forest: These Pikmin are found around forests and tree-filled areas, and there are two types of them; the type the player will get from a forest is random. The first type wear a stag beetle and the second type wear an acorn.
* Waterside: These Pikmin are found around coastlines and riverbanks, and wear a fishing lure.
* Post Office: These Pikmin are found around post offices, and wear a stamp.
* Art Gallery: These Pikmin are found around art shops or museums, and wear a painting.
* Airport: These Pikmin are found around airports, and wear a toy airplane.
* Station: These Pikmin are found around railway stations, and wear a train papercraft.
* Beach: These Pikmin are found around beaches, and wear a shell.
* Mini-mart: These Pikmin are found around convenience stores, and wear a bottle cap.
* Supermarket: These Pikmin are found around supermarkets, and there are two types of them; the type the player will get from a supermarket is random. The first type wear a mushroom and the second type wear a banana.
* Bakery: These Pikmin are found around bakeries, and wear a baguette.
* Hair Salon: These Pikmin are found around hair salons, and wear scissors.
* Clothing Store: These Pikmin are found around clothing stores, and wear a hair tie.
* Park: These Pikmin are found around local parks, and wear a clover.
* Roadside: This is the catch-all decor type, found in cases where none of the other types apply. These Pikmin wear a sticker, that can be either green, blue, or orange, and contains a letter that is the first letter of the area they were found in. This gives them much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Their static icons in the Decor Pikmin list contain the kanji character 塔, and on postcards, the letter is always P.
Pikmin Bloom gets its location information from OpenStreetMap, so non-Roadside decor types can only appear in places where their associated location type has been documented by the OpenStreetMap community.

Roadside Decor Pikmin
If the seedling is not found near any real-world location matching one of the above locations, the decor type will be Roadside. These Pikmin wear a sticker or a coin. The sticker can be either green, blue, or orange, with each colour being worn on a different spot on the Pikmin's body. The sticker contains a letter that is based on the first letter or character of the name of the location where the seedling was found: if the seedling is listed as being 'near' a place, it uses that place's name, otherwise, it uses the name of the general area (such as the city or town it was discovered in), and if it cannot find a name for either, it will default to the letter P. (On postcards and on the static icons in the Decor Pikmin list, the letter is always P). As of v66.0 Coin Decor Pikmin were added. These Pikmin only have 1 type per Pikmin, unlike the sticker type, and the coins present on the Pikmin are from all around the world.

Due to the different colours, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since 22, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Weather Decor Pikmin
There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type Rainy Day or Snowy Day.

Regional exclusive Decor
The following Decor Pikmin are exclusive to certain regions.

Fortune
These Decor Pikmin can be found in the vicinity of Shinto shrine and Buddhist temple throughout Japan, and they wear fortune-telling paper slips known as O-mikuji on their heads. Fortune Decor is available for all 7 types of pikmin, and comes in 5 different variations for each. The "omikuji" sequence in pb contains the following fortunes (ordered from best to worst):

* "Daikichi" 大吉 (Great Blessing)
* "Kichi" 吉 (Blessing)
* "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)
* "Shokichi" 小吉 (Small Blessing)
* "Suekichi" 末吉 (Future Blessing)

Rare variants
For some Decor types, there is a low chance of the costume being a rare "shiny" variant of the regular costume. These costumes are more colourful, and Pikmin with them have sparkles around them in the Pikmin information page. These rare variants are treated as separate costumes, but the category only shows up once at least one of a set is obtained. Currently, there are only rare variants for Restaurant attribute Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin.

Special Decor Pikmin
Through events and other specific actions, Special Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained.

Mario Hat
This Decor Pikmin wears a replica of Mario's signature red cap. A Huge Seedling for this Pikmin can be obtained when the player links their Nintendo Account to the app. (Previously, you could earn Gold Seedlings from special spots at various Nintendo stores, but the Decor Pikmin that comes from the Gold Seedling has since been changed, meaning linking to a Nintendo Account is now the only way to receive this decor). When grown and plucked, the Pikmin inside will don a replica of Mario's hat, with a keyring attached to the end. The seedling comes from Kyoto, Japan, specifically from Nintendo's headquarters, and the decor type is marked as "near Nintendo". This Decor Pikmin will always be a Blue Pikmin.

Lunar New Year Ornament
From 1 to 11, for a Lunar New Year event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 10 days. These Decor Pikmin wear red decorations with a gold 福 character, signifying "good luck" or "good fortune". This Decor type was exclusive to Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Decor icon. Only one seedling could be held at a time, and once that Pikmin was plucked, another event seedling could be discovered.

From 21 to 5, for a second Lunar New Year event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 2 weeks. Two sets of limited missions were available to clear for Gold Seedlings; Easy missions rewarded Decor Pikmin with Lunar New Year Ornaments from 2022, and Slightly Harder missions rewarded Decor Pikmin with new Lunar New Year Ornaments of gold decorations with a red 財 character, signifying "wealth" or "fortune". As with the 2022 event, this Decor type was exclusive to Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. Multiple event seedlings could be held and grown at once, and the missions for both categories were able to be cleared at the same time.

From 1 to 25, for a third Lunar New Year event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 3 weeks. The existing Lunar New Year ornaments were split into two separate decor categories – "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red", and "Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold". There were new Red and Gold Ornament designs for White, Purple, Rock, and Winged Pikmin. They could be grown from Huge and Gold Seedlings Seedlings obtained by clearing the Event challenge tabs missions and spinning a roulette, or from completing missions by collecting a set amount of Red Envelopes. Seedlings from the roulette grew into "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red" Decor Pikmin, and seedlings from the Red Envelope missions grew into "Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold" Decor Pikmin. Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red" Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were completed, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Decor icon, or a Gold Seedling obtained by completing a weekly challenge during the event period.

From 14 to 11, the previously released Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were available from Gold Seedlings earned by new players using the players referral code.

Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all Chess Piece Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were completed, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

Fingerboard
From 15, for an event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 2 weeks. From 1 to 21, for a second Fingerboard Event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable in 3 weeks. There were 4 additional new Decor types, and they could be obtained by completing the Event challenge tab's missions and spinning a roulette. They had a sticker that was the same size as the Winter Stickers, and each Pikmin had a different spring-inspired design. They could be grown from Huge and Gold Seedlings obtained through various ways. Completing both types of weekly challenges during the event period gave Gold Seedlings, and destroying Giant Spring Festival mushrooms had a chance to give either Huge or Gold Seedlings.

Winter Sticker
From 21 to 11, as part of the Holiday Roadside Decor Pikmin event. any Roadside attribute Pikmin grown from a Seedling instead had a winter-themed sticker. These stickers are bigger than the regular sticker, with each Pikmin type having a different design.

From 6 to 27, during the 2023 Holiday Event, Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin made a return. By collecting Gingerbread Cookies, Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be earned. A special mission ticket and a complete ticket were also available in the shop during the event, and buying either gave a mission that rewarded a Gold Seedling for a specific Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin upon completion.

On 4, Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin were removed from the Roadside category, and became their own separate "Winter Sticker" Special Category.

Playing Cards
From 1 to 31, for the 2024 Playing Card Event, a new set of Decor Pikmin was obtainable. Those Decor Pikmin wore various Playing cards, primarily of the diamond suite. The way the Decor Pikmin were obtained were unique in this event. By collecting Diamond Cookies, players could progress through a list of missions and earn Gold Seedlings that grew into any of the 6 Playing Cards for Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. Clearing all of these missions did not guarantee the obtention of all Red, Yellow, and Blue Playing Card Decor Pikmin. The other Playing Cards for the remaining Pikmin types could be grown from Huge and Gold Seedlings Seedlings obtained by clearing Event challenge tabs missions and spinning a roulette. Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Playing Card Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were accomplished, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

guide
Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. To aid in getting decor types you don't already have, go to a Pikmin's information page (or a seedling's information page) to look for the icon in the red circle. This icon represents the decor type; the icon associated with each set can be seen in the table above. Focus on increasing the friendship of Pikmin from decor sets you don't already have, as when they reach 4 hearts of friendship, they will turn into a Decor Pikmin after collecting a gift. To note is that Roadside attribute Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so if a Pikmin has a icon, it may be worth ignoring it. Pressing the star in the corner of a Pikmin's page favorites that Pikmin, and this is a useful way to indicate Pikmin you want to prioritize. To see which types of Decor Pikmin you already have, tap a Decor Pikmin-related badge on your profile page and scroll down to see a list of all Decor Pikmin types.

The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor sets displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.

When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.

This table contains all types of Decor Pikmin, shown in the order they are listed in the badge viewer. Note that the alternate versions of costumes (such as the rare variants and Roadside stickers) are shown separately in the badge viewer, and are counted as separate types of Decor Pikmin.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. To aid in getting decor types you don't already have, go to a Pikmin's information page (or a seedling's information page) to look for the icon in the red circle. This icon represents the decor type; the icon associated with each type can be seen in the table above. Focus on increasing the friendship of Pikmin with decor types you don't already have, as when they reach 4 hearts of friendship, they will turn into a Decor Pikmin after collecting a gift. To note is that Roadside-type Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so if a Pikmin has a icon, it may be worth ignoring it.

Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor types displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.

Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that wear a costume.

Obtaining Decor PikminEdit

A Huge Seedling.

A gift box.

Another way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by levelling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in a variety ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been levelled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. Its decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

A Gold Seedling.

There are Colored Gold Seedlings which are received from the Premium Event Pass from every 4 Stages or from Special Mission Tickets since September 4th, 2023.

Decor typesEdit

There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases.

Some locations can give multiple options for what decor set you will get. In these cases, the set is randomly given among the options for that location.

The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain.

Roadside Decor PikminEdit

Since May 22nd, 2023, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Weather Decor PikminEdit

There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type Rainy Day or Snowy Day.

StrategyEdit

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom's main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible.

  • The designs of the cups in Café attribute Decor Pikmin are based on enemies from the other Pikmin games.
    • The Yellow Pikmin has a red cup with white spots, like a Bulborb.
    • The Blue Pikmin has a black cup with yellow lines, like a Pyroclasmic Slooch.
    • The White Pikmin has a yellow cup with green spots and a green base, like a Yellow Wollywog.
    • The Purple Pikmin has a cup with purple and grey stripes and a red handle, like a Fiery Blowhog.
    • The Rock Pikmin has a white cup with brown spots, like a Whiptongue Bulborb.

  • The inside of the Tiny Book that Library/bookstore attribute Winged Pikmin wear has text from a data file from Pikmin 3, specifically the To future visitors area hint.
  • Although partially obscured by its strap, the title of the Tiny Book that Blue Pikmin wear is likely "The Walking Plants". This along with the imagery of Pikmin sprouts on the cover is a reference to the Pikmin themselves.
  • The designs of the macarons used by Macaron Sweetshop Decor Pikmin are later referenced in Pikmin 4, where they appear as treasures. These Decor Pikmin existed in the game at launch, even though Pikmin 4 would not release until around 2 years later.
  • The batteries carried by Battery Decor Pikmin correspond to the treasures found in Pikmin 2 (Nintendo Switch): Courage Reactor, Durable Energy Cell, and Proton AA.
  • The hanafuda cards worn by some Flower Card Decor Pikmin are later featured as treasures in Pikmin 4:

  • The Flower Card Decor Pikmin that are listed in the Flower Card 2023 category actually originate from an event in 2022, rather than 2023.
  • The puzzle pieces on the Puzzle Decor Pikmin that are listed in the Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories category actually feature loading screen art that originates from November of 2022, rather than the summer.
