The Thirst Activator is a treasure found only in the NTSC version of Pikmin 2. It is found on a ledge near the Furious Adhesive, and is often located near the patrolling Gatling Groink on seventh sublevel of the Subterranean Complex. Bomb Rocks are plentiful in the area and can be used to defeat the Groink, after which the body should be retrieved immediately to ensure that it doesn't regenerate later while the Pikmin are busy with a task. The player may also choose simply to lure the Groink off the edge of the field into the abyss below to avoid having to deal with the corpse. It is actually a lid to either Tree Top brand apple juice or apple sauce.
