The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings. These seedlings are mostly received through events but sometimes can be obtained in weekly challenges and from inviting friends to play the game. Gold Seedlings work similarly to Huge Seedling in which they instantly give you a Decor Pikmin after growing them. The only difference is, Gold Seedlings only require 100 steps to grow instead of 10,000. The type of Decor Pikmin you obtain from these seedling depends on the event that is taking place when you get them.

When viewing Pikmin, the icon is gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, while the icon will be yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to rare variants or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker and Coin categories but does not have the Winter Sticker variant, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.

Any Roadside attribute Pikmin grown from a seedling discovered between 21 and 11 will instead have a winter-themed sticker. These stickers are bigger than the regular sticker, with each Pikmin type having a different design.
Due to the different colours, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since 22, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Weather Decor Pikmin
* "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)

Rare variants
For some Decor types, there is a low chance of the costume being a rare "shiny" variant of the regular costume. These costumes are more colourful, and Pikmin with them have sparkles around them in the Pikmin information page. These rare variants are treated as separate costumes, but the category only shows up once at least one of a set is obtained. Currently, there are only rare variants for Restaurant attribute Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin.

Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that wear a costume. They have the same function as regular Pikmin, but wear a variety of decorative outfits. There are over 60 sets of costumes, and over 400 types of Decor Pikmin to collect in total. These Pikmin can be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling, a Gold Seedling, or by levelling up a Pikmin's friendship to 4 hearts. In Mushroom battles, Decor Pikmin have an additional 4 points added to their attack power.

Obtaining Decor Pikmin

A Huge Seedling.

One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 5 and can be found from expeditions or levelling up. These seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into the empty planter, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of decor the player gets is determined by where the seedling was discovered. The Pikmin's type (colour) is random.

Another way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by levelling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in a variety ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been levelled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. Its decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

A Gold Seedling.

The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings. These seedlings are mostly received through events but sometimes can be obtained in weekly challenges and from inviting friends to play the game. Gold Seedlings work similarly to Huge Seedlings in which they instantly give you a Decor Pikmin after growing them. The only difference is that Gold Seedlings only require 100 steps to grow instead of 10,000. The type of Decor Pikmin you obtain from these seedling depends on the event you obtain them from.

There are Colored Gold Seedlings which are received from the Premium Event Pass from every 4 Stages or from Special Mission Tickets since September 4th, 2023.

Decor types

There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases.

Some locations can give multiple options for what decor set you will get. In these cases, the set is randomly given among the options for that location.

The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain.

When viewing Pikmin, the icon is gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, while the icon will be yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to rare variants or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker categories but does not have the Coin decor, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.

Roadside Decor Pikmin

If the seedling is not found near any real-world location matching one of the above locations, the decor type will be Roadside Roadside. These Pikmin wear a sticker or a coin. The sticker can be either green, blue, or orange, with each colour being worn on a different spot on the Pikmin's body. The sticker contains a letter that is based on the first letter or character of the name of the location where the seedling was found: if the seedling is listed as being 'near' a place, it uses that place's name, otherwise, it uses the name of the general area (such as the city or town it was discovered in), and if it cannot find a name for either, it will default to the letter P. (On postcards and on the static icons in the Decor Pikmin list, the letter is always P). As of v66.0 Coin Decor Pikmin were added. These Pikmin only have 1 type per Pikmin, unlike the sticker type, and the coins present on the Pikmin are from all around the world.

Due to the different colours, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since May 22nd, 2023, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Weather Decor Pikmin

There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type Rainy Day Rainy Day or Snowy Day Snowy Day.

Regional exclusive Decor

The following Decor Pikmin are exclusive to certain regions.

Fortune

These Decor Pikmin can be found in the vicinity of Shrines and Temples throughout Japan, and they wear fortune-telling paper slips known as "omikuji" on their heads. Fortune Decor is available for all 7 types of pikmin, and comes in 5 different variations for each. The "omikuji" sequence in Pikmin Bloom contains the following fortunes (ordered from best to worst):

 • "Daikichi" 大吉 (Great Blessing)
 • "Kichi" 吉 (Blessing)
 • "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)
 • "Shokichi" 小吉 (Small Blessing)
 • "Suekichi" 末吉 (Future Blessing)

Rare variants

For some Decor types, there is a low chance of the costume being a rare "shiny" variant of the regular costume. These costumes are more colourful, and Pikmin with them have sparkles around them in the Pikmin information page. These rare variants are treated as separate costumes, but the category only shows up once at least one of a set is obtained. Currently, there are only rare variants for Restaurant attribute Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin.

Special Decor Pikmin

Through events and other specific actions, Special Special Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained.

Mario Hat

This Decor Pikmin wears a replica of Mario's signature red cap. A Huge Seedling for this Pikmin can be obtained when the player links their Nintendo Account to the app. (Previously, you could earn Gold Seedlings from special spots at various Nintendo stores, but the Decor Pikmin that comes from the Gold Seedling has since been changed, meaning linking to a Nintendo Account is now the only way to receive this decor). When grown and plucked, the Pikmin inside will don a replica of Mario's hat, with a keyring attached to the end. The seedling comes from Kyoto, Japan, specifically from Nintendo's headquarters, and the decor type is marked as "near Nintendo". This Decor Pikmin will always be a Blue Pikmin.

Lunar New Year Ornament

From February 1st to February 11th, 2022, for a Lunar New Year event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 10 days. These Decor Pikmin wear red decorations with a gold 福 character, signifying "good luck" or "good fortune". This Decor type was exclusive to Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Special Decor icon. Only one seedling could be held at a time, and once that Pikmin was plucked, another event seedling could be discovered.

From January 21st to February 5th, 2023, for a second Lunar New Year event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 2 weeks. Two sets of limited missions were available to clear for Gold Seedlings; Easy missions rewarded Decor Pikmin with Lunar New Year Ornaments from 2022, and Slightly Harder missions rewarded Decor Pikmin with new Lunar New Year Ornaments of gold decorations with a red 財 character, signifying "wealth" or "fortune". As with the 2022 event, this Decor type was exclusive to Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. Multiple event seedlings could be held and grown at once, and the missions for both categories were able to be cleared at the same time.

From February 1st to February 25th, 2024, for a third Lunar New Year event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 3 weeks. The existing Lunar New Year ornaments were split into two separate decor categories – "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red", and "Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold". There were new Red and Gold Ornament designs for White, Purple, Rock, and Winged Pikmin. They could be grown from Huge and Gold Seedlings Seedlings obtained by clearing the Event challenge tab's missions and spinning a roulette, or from completing missions by collecting a set amount of Red Envelopes. Seedlings from the roulette grew into "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red" Decor Pikmin, and seedlings from the Red Envelope missions grew into "Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold" Decor Pikmin. Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red" Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were completed, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

Chess Piece

From July 18th to July 31st, 2022, for the International Chess Day event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 2 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear chess pieces on their head. There are 4 types: a Yellow Pikmin with a black bishop, a Blue Pikmin with a white knight, a Purple Pikmin with a black king, and a White Pikmin with a white pawn. They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Special Decor icon, or a Gold Seedling obtained by completing a weekly challenge during the event period.

From November 14th to December 11th, 2022, the previously released Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were available from Gold Seedlings earned by new players using the players referral code.

From June 22nd to July 20th, 2023, for a second Chess event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable in a weekly rotation of white chess pieces and black chess pieces for 4 weeks. There were 10 additional new Decor types, and they could be obtained by completing the Event challenge tab's missions and spinning a roulette. Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all Chess Piece Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were completed, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

Fingerboard

From August 15th, 2022, for an event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 2 weeks. These Decor Pikmin carry fingerboards behind them. There are 4 types and were exclusively Red, Yellow, Purple, and Winged Pikmin. They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Special Decor icon, or a Gold Seedling obtained by completing a weekly challenge during the event period. Only one Huge Seedling could be held at a time, and once that Pikmin was plucked, another event seedling could be discovered.

From June 1st to June 21st, 2023, for a second Fingerboard Event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin were obtainable in 3 weeks. There were 4 additional new Decor types, and they could be obtained by completing the Event challenge tab's missions and spinning a roulette. Completing all 4 stages of the Event challenge tab did not guarantee the obtention of all Fingerboard Decor Pikmin. It did, however, reset to the first stage when the first four were completed, giving a chance to get more seedlings with the roulette.

From November 20th to November 26th, 2023, all 7 Fingerboard Decor Pikmin were obtainable as the third part of the Throwback Decor Pikmin event. They were obtained from Gold Seedlings earned through the completion of weekly challenges, Mystery Boxes from mushrooms, and the Completion and Special Mission Tickets purchased from the shop.

Flower Card

On September 5th, 2022, for an event, a new set of Decor Pikmin were obtainable for 3 weeks. These Pikmin wear hanafuda cards, referred to as Flower Cards by the game. Only Red, Yellow, Blue, and Purple Pikmin could wear these cards, and had 6 different card designs that they could wear. Originally, the different designs were not considered to be separate types. These Pikmin could only be grown from Gold Seedlings, obtained either from completing weekly challenges or completing the limited-missions during the event.

From September 22nd, 2023 to October 1st, 2023, Red and Purple Flower Card Decor Pikmin made a return in an event. They could be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Special Decor icon. Strategy

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom's main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. To aid in getting decor types you don't already have, go to a Pikmin's information page (or a seedling's information page) to look for the icon in the red circle. This icon represents the decor type; the icon associated with each set can be seen in the table above. Focus on increasing the friendship of Pikmin from decor sets you don't already have, as when they reach 4 hearts of friendship, they will turn into a Decor Pikmin after collecting a gift. To note is that Roadside attribute Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so if a Pikmin has a Roadside icon, it may be worth ignoring it. Pressing the star in the corner of a Pikmin's page favorites that Pikmin, and this is a useful way to indicate Pikmin you want to prioritize. To see which types of Decor Pikmin you already have, tap a Decor Pikmin-related badge on your profile page and scroll down to see a list of all Decor Pikmin types.

The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor sets displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.

When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.
