The Remembered Old Buddy is the head of the old Nintendo product, the Robotic Operating Buddy (R.O.B.). It is carried by a Raging Long Legs on the last sublevel of the Hole of Heroes in Pikmin 2.

  • The acronym for the Remembered Old Buddy, R.O.B., is the same as for the original Robotic Operating Buddy, which it was commonly called.
  • In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Olimar encounters a very large R.O.B. unit in a cutscene.
  • Olimar's Journal entry is likely referring to the TV show Captain N: The Game Master, in which R.O.B., among other Nintendo characters, made an appearance.
