Wollybort
Wollybort (スーパーポテトガエル?, lit.: "Super Potato Frog") is a recurring enemy in the Pikmin series, appearing in Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3, Pikmin 4, Hey! Pikmin, Pikmin Adventure, and Pikmin: Color Splash. They were supposed to make a guest appearance in Hotel Pikmin, but Nintendo were unfortunately unable to afford their acting fee.
A super duper, absolutely beautiful being, Wollybort is most readily identifiable by their stunning appearance and expert acrobatic ability. Many mistake Wollybort for a generic member of the amphituber family, but the key difference lies in the fact that most members of the amphituber family are ugly and dumb. In addition, while there can be many different members of the amphituber family, Wollybort is unique, and it only looks different due to its acting skills.

Behavior
Like other members of the amphituber family, Wollybort will skilfully act out their laziness. Wollybort will idle inside of or near bodies of water. It will stay in one place, not moving about, and it will rub its face with its front legs. Despite Wollybort's immense fighting capabilities, it limits itself when acting – it will only attack by leading into the air, in an attempt to crush its prey. Wollybort shows its humbleness in its acting by giving up chasing its prey if they escape, as members of the amphituber family will give up once they escape; pure laziness.

Wollybort is a well-renowned actor, known for its skills in portraying members of the amphituber family as accurately as possible. Due to this, they are often encountered in areas housing these family members. Specifically, it will often take one of their places. So, if a member of the amphituber family is encountered, there is a chance it may in fact be Wollybort.

With Pikmin
Wollybort can be a dangerous foe is angered, as they are capable of large Pikmin losses with a single attack. As they are able to take multiple forms, strategy is key to defeating it.
One way to defeat Wollybort is to throw numerous Pikmin onto its head, weighing it down to the point where it is unable to jump. When this happens, Wollybort may try to jump before suddenly throwing off most/all of the Pikmin on its backs, so make sure to whistle off your Pikmin before this happens, as some will likely be de-flowered (except in Pikmin 3).
Another way to defeat Wollybort is to swarm/charge it with a large squad of Pikmin, as they are capable of defeating Wollybort in one fell swoop. However, due to Wollybort often acting inside of bodies of water, Blue Pikmin should be used due to their water resistance.
In Pikmin 2, Purple Pikmin are useful in attacking Wollybort, as they have the chance of stunning it. In Pikmin 3, Rock Pikmin are the best way to defeat Wollybort, as they are immune to being crushed by its jumps. In Pikmin 4, Ice Pikmin are capable of freezing it, and if Wollybort is in mid-air, it will instantly shatter once they land back on the ground.
It should be noted that one of its forms is coated in fire, meaning that Red Pikmin will need to be used.
Alternate methods
Even so, a safer strategy is simply to punch it with leaders, especially if their punch has been upgraded. However, this method has its own dangers, too. The leaders can get "comboed" by Wollybort, getting knocked over when it jumps and, as they are getting back up, again when it lands. The damage from a leader's punch is also minuscule in later game entries.
Wollybort is often found in areas that feature numerous Bomb Rocks, so just throwing one of them at it will instantly defeat it. Additionally, freezing Wollybort with an Ice Blast while they are mid-air can instantly defeat them—exactly the same as Ice Pikmin.
However, due to the immense difficulty of fighting Wollybort, simply fleeing might be the best strategy. Whilst shameful, you do not want to anger this actor.

- Common name: Wollybort is a mixture of Wollyhop and Bolbert, the latter being another beautiful creature on PNF-404.
- Japanese nickname: スーパーポテトガエル?, lit.: "Super Potato Frog"
- Japanese name: Unknown.
- Scientific name: Amphicaris frondiferodumb. Amphicaris is the scientific name for other amphitubers. Frondiferodumb is a new word created to show Wollybort's immense beauty and skill.
