Behavior

Iceblown Dweevils are not particularly aggressive creatures, but can be troublesome as they will carry any treasures they can lift. If attacked, they will create a pool of freezing gel which encases any non-Ice Pikmin, requiring the player to call them back.

Locations

Strategy

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Ice Pikmin are immune to the Iceblown Dweevil's freezing capabilities, making them ideal to toss onto the Dweevil to remove their carried object. However, because of the Dweevil's low health, it is also feasible to overwhelm and quickly kill them with a large swarm of Pikmin, or have Oatchi ram into them while they are not carrying any objects.

Notes

Dalmo's Notes

Ah-CHOO! It's always important to keep your cool, but my proximity to this frosty darling may be making me a bit too cold. Just one blow from this critter as it skitters about on its icy long legs is quite chilling indeed!

Olimar's Notes

Dweevils have varying body colors in response to their feeding habits. Each species feeds on different types of plants and small animals, so the symbiotic bacteria that creates their pigmentation differ as well.
The Iceblown Dweevil lives in cold habitats and spews frigid gas, so the workings of its symbiotic bacteria are dulled and it retains its natural color, which is white.
It's been confirmed that in more temperate climates where food that the Fiery Dweevil eats is readily available, the Iceblown Dweevil's coloration is much peacher.

Louie's Notes

Soak the legs in fruit juice, and freeze. Serve as a refreshing ice pop!
