This part can also be obtained without using the scales by throwing [[Yellow Pikmin]] with a running start from the ground between the two bridges. [[Purple Pikmin]] can be thrown to it from there too, also requiring a running throw, though this is more difficult.

The Air Brake is a treasure found in the game Pikmin 2, resting on a ledge in the Awakening Wood. The Air Brake is a Badminton shuttlecock, and reaching this treasure requires the player to interact with a scale. The ledge that the Air Brake is placed upon is located near Snagret Hole, and to protect one's Pikmin, it is recommended that the player clear out nearby enemies before attempting a retrieval (in particular, a pair of Yellow Wollywogs in a shallow pool). It may be worth nothing that the retrieval path for the Air Brake can bring the player's Pikmin into close proximity with a Burrowing Snagret, as well as a Creeping Chrysanthemum, both of which can quickly wipe out large populations of unattended Pikmin left to their own devices.

This treasure can also be obtained without using the scales by throwing Yellow or Purple Pikmin (with a running start) from the nearby area between two bridges.
