The Foolix is a boss enemy in Pikmin 4. A relative of the Goolix, it is found in the 4th and final sublevel of the Secluded Courtyard. It resembles a yellowish amoeba with an orange star-shaped nucleus, which possesses a flagellum-like tail.

Behavior

The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin 4.
Particularly: Describe its behavior when it sees Pikmin, when it attacks, when it shakes, when it loses interest, etc.

Initially, the Foolix disguises itself as a blob of nectar, waiting for the player or Pikmin to draw near. It will attack when either of them get close.

Like the Goolix, its primary attack is to absorb Pikmin (and possibly the player) into its body; however, it is far more aggressive in doing so and will try to stretch itself in order to engulf them more effectively. It will try to face the player at all times, as the "tail" of its nucleus is its weakness.

Strategy

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin 4.
Particularly: Add a guide on how to beat it.

The Foolix can be fought in one of two ways: the first is to get behind it and have at least 15 Pikmin pull on its "tail" when it extends through its cytoplasm, which will cause it to burst out of its membrane and leave it vulnerable until it can reform its cytoplasm. A bomb rock will also cause the Foolix to burst if it is engulfed.

Alternatively, Ice Pikmin can be used to freeze and shatter it for the same effect, although this must be done quickly to avoid Pikmin losses.

Notes

Particularly: Transcribe notes about this enemy, though remember that all transcribed notes will be replaced with notes from the game files eventually.
