The Dandelion, although an all-too-common weedy plant in the real world, is somewhat rare in the Pikmin games, appearing in only two overworld locations and one cave. Dandelions are used merely for scenery and do not affect gameplay. Seeding Dandelions can also be found in Pikmin 2, but are just as non-functional and are even more rare. When these plants are grouped they are commonly mistaken for the "Creeping Chrysanthemum" creature.
