The Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat is an enemy in Pikmin 2. They resemble large, blue, floating jellyfish with yellow spots that float through the air. They attack the Pikmin by inhaling them and trapping them inside. The Pikmin slowly become digested one by one over considerably long periods of time, but can be saved by defeating the enemy. This creature is related to the Greater Spotted Jellyfloat.

Killing methods
Pikmin
It is vulnerable on all parts of its body, and has moderately low health. Purple Pikmin automatically make this creature fall due to their weight, they are also good for defeating it, as stunning prevents it from getting back into air. When defeated, all undigested Pikmin become recovered.
Captains
There are only three ways to defeat a Jellyfloat without Pikmin. One way is for Olimar and Louie to allow a nearby Bumbling Snitchbug to pick the captain up. If it floats over or very close to the Jellyfloat, the captain can attack the creature in midair while the Bumbling Snitchbug is holding him. Another method may be less time consuming, if the Jellyfloat is on a level with high and low lands like the Shower Room, Olimar and Louie must wait for it to drift into the lower part of the level and get close to it on the highland and punch, but only if they have the Rocket Fist. The third and simplest way is for Olimar and Louie to simply freeze the Jellyfloat with an Ultra-bitter Spray, and punch it repeatedly as it falls to the ground afterwards.
