The Doodlebug is an enemy in Pikmin 2. It is the same in general appearance to the Iridescent Flint Beetle, except it is coated with dirt and has small flies hovering around it, giving it a more repugnant look. However, it is actually in the Flint Bug family, not the Flint Beetle family. They, like Iridescent Glint Beetles, drop spray - Ultra-bitter Spray; in Challenge Mode, they sometimes drop treasure.

Where to be found

Doodlebugs only appear in the later caves of the game. Sublevel one in Frontier cavern contains three doodlebugs, thus making it a good sublevel to stock up on potions, and in Challenge mode, they can even drop treasure.
